why do you have no faith in franklin? he was a big recruit and one of the best dual threat qbs when he came to college. did he not prove anything yesterday? He ran really well and was passing accurately.

Don't think I embarrassed anyone. I knew the response that thread would get, but I honestly believe that a healthy, veteran James Franklin can be one of the best QBs in NCAA this year.

Sorry I like James but to go on the main board and drop the QB who had a horrible year last year (injuries, OC and blocking aside) is better then the returning heisman winner (douche though he is) that set an all time SEC yardage record is just going to make Mizzou fans look ignorant. If you are just trolling then PM Killz and he can give you some tips.

I was simply pointing out the their stats were very similar for the first two games. I think Franklin looks good, so yeah I'm going to support him and I don't really care if I say delusional things on the rant or not. that board is 100% delusions.
It's the internet. calm down.

I know if he decides to run against SEC defenses like he chose to run and lower his shoulder against Toledo yesterday, we'll be watching alot more of Mauk and Franklin will be injured on the sideline again. SEC D's hold you up to beat you down, much like they did with him last year. I'd rather he stay in the pocket and find a reciever if at all possible. He has a good reciever corp.

Tanklin leads the SEC in total offense

JFF played what? 3 series in the first game?

In the first game? Our Franklin did. I was saying Manziel played about 3 series in the first game. He was suspended the whole 1st half of the first game.

I think Franklin is a good QB, and hope to see him have a very successful season.
I also think JFF won't have quite the season this year that he did last. SEC coaches are good, and they'll figure out how to stop him. I will be very interested to see how Alabama's gameplan for him unfolds this weekend. My guess is Saban will have him very contained.

James can't consistently make the shorter throws. He throws deep dang well though, probably better than JFF.

Yeah I was very impressed by this. But honestly it wasn't his passing that shocked me. He took off 17 times and only two of those were designed runs. His run game looked real good to me and I think it's what our offense really needed. Last year with the beat up o-line it didn't seem like his run was much of a threat because let's face it the D was surrounding him before he could do anything. His ability to run will not only give us another weapon to gain yards, but allow our passes to have time to develop. I think we saw a true dual threat QB on saturday and I just hope this can stay true against tougher competition.

I agree with ya keeper but at the same time, lets remember, it was Toledo's defense, not the better SEC defenses. He will get killed if he does that too much during conference play. I also think there were too many designed runs for him last year and those never seemed to work. I agree with you that he seems to do best on his feet when he's improvising.

You're right, SEC defenses will contain that running threat a little better. But, the fact that he can improvise and pull off the run is a threat they can't ignore. I like our offense so far, and he's a big part of that. I also liked the toughness I saw Saturday - he plowed a couple of guys over like they were card board cut outs.
