Saw that and liked that as well. But at the same time, scares the shite out of me if he tries to do that against SEC defenses. It's been a very limited sample size, but Mauk hasn't knocked my socks off and as much as I was a proponent of his in the off season, Franklin is the obvious choice. Don't want to have to finish out the season with Mauk.

SEC defenses will contain that running threat a little better. But, the fact that he can improvise and pull off the run is a threat they can't ignore

this. Of course the sec defenses will do a better job than Toledo, but think back to our non-con games last year.. JF is improved and I think he is a real threat even in the sec.

Apparently Mauk will get some playing time each game and while I haven't been particularly impressed by him, I'm glad that he will get some experience this year and have the opportunity to mature as an athlete.

It isn't looking good for Mauk, but Daniel was also not very good his freshman year other than 1 appearance. Don't take too much from his limited time this year.

No doubt. He's improved. The entire offense is improved in comparison to last year. The numbers bear it out. Even against SELA last year, it wasn't so much the offense. I just don't want to lose him to injury.
