Historic. Never thought I would live to see it. This is now the 11th championship meeting in the 4 major sports between St. Louis and Boston, and 4th in nearly 20 years.

Nut cup losses have been a common theme for both.

I wish the playing field was as level in CFB as it can be in pro sports, but the Blues do show that with a full team buy-in talent alone doesn't have to determine a championship.

Odom has a lot of Berube in him too. Stoic, no-nonsense disciplinarian who commands respect.

Berube's post gamers with his team are outstanding.

We finally have the coach and goaltender that we've been looking for since 1967. Good things really do happen to those who wait.

There are a lot of parallels between this year and the 92-93 season when Plager called no joy after 11 games and Joseph went unconscious during the playoffs. He ran out of gas in game 7 vs the Leafs but he was the only reason they were there in the first place.

There are some really bad parallels too.

Boston has our number.

Last time in Stanley Cup: Boston wins
Last time in Super Bowl: New England wins (and cheats)
Last two times Cards play Redsox in WS: Boston wins.

Time to break the streak

This has been a season of slaying demons. I'm starting to get a little of a 2001 Patriots vibe from them. Nearly everyone outside of the STL market is picking Boston to win.

classic blues hockey. Sit on a lead and then lose it late. They're going to get swept.

Nah. Pietrangelo's screen set it up but Gunnarsson smoked that into the top shelf. Huge game.
