It’s not really time to celebrate. We just cross our fingers and hope they don’t frick this up.

Correct. We roll the dice again. See what happens.

It sucks it didn’t work out. I’m not totally convinced this is the right move, but I don’t think Sterk really has much choice.

I’m really surprised this actually happened

I think the turmoil in the ranks of the team and the staff dictated it more than the W/L record.

And the fact that Sterk is skating on thin ice himself.

That, and he’s completely lost the fanbase. It’s probably past the point of no return.

Probably needed to happen. Hopefully we don’t hire some milquetoast square like Dave Clawson or something.

I think Sterk will make a great hire.

And I'll bet it's an offensive side / QB specialist hire.

You can always find defensive side assistants, but to find sharp offensive minds to be your offensive coordinator is a crap shoot and revolving door as we've seen. If they're good they'll be soon to leave. If they're mediocre or shite so is your offense.

After Kim and Odom, I say we never hire a True Son again. Thank you for your services, we know you guys care about MU, which is nice. At the end of the day, we need to make moves and hire a competent coach. If that coach stinks, roll some heads and make changes. It’s never fun firing a Mizzou guy, but it’s time to buckle down and right the ship before we get too off course

Why do you think Sterk will make a great hire?

I do agree that we go after a offensive guy though.

So JQ, what was the results of your coaching replacement poll?

It's almost like 808 new something.

If it goes like the basketball hire we will get a solid uninspiring hire that will get us comfortably in the middle of the SEC

It's just a hunch. But having spent his entire career on the West Coast I bet he's got a couple of names in his back pocket that are off the radar in the Midwest and East.

I know I’m in the minority of wanting to give him one more year, but given financial hardship this year, I’ll be shocked if they hire anyone better

Dude, I ain't celebrating shite. Anytime you have to fire a coach, it usually means bad shite not worth celebrating happened. Would have much rather won some bowl games, competed for the East or better. Beyond that, BO is a good guy and regardless of his coaching ability, he does love Mizzou so I'm not gonna CELEBRATE his firing.

Having said that, a new hire still scares the shite out of me.

Money has nothing to do with being better, ask Tennessee. IMHO, we need a coach who is used to coaching up 3 star recruits and has a solid reputation of his team being well disciplined and knowing their assignments. Also offensive minded because Bazelak has really good arm talent.

Read this hot board

LINK

A bunch of guys we’ll never get and some complete snoozers that would do nothing to excite the fanbase

Ultimately you just have to win, but it surely would not hurt to bring in somebody that’s going to bring some energy to this program.

that's a great list except for 2 or 3. Notice there is no Lane on it.

My worry is we are not going after someone on that list
