We knew going into the season that our backfield was suspect. Couple that with very little pressure on the QB and it leads to over 500 yards passing.

We won't be good against the pass all season but I do think this is the worst it will be. It won't be this bad the rest of the year. That's the good news.

Take the win and enjoy it.

The only si,ver lining I got was that Acy was out virtually the entire game.

Need to figure out pressure packages and stunt the line. These guys aren't winning one on one on the edge and neither of Purdue's tackles will be practice squad players in the league. Williams needs to completely change his approach.

DLine pressure can mask a myraid of problems in the back seven.

Without the pressure I fear more of the same.

I'm disappointed in the fact that the DL showed no technique, twitch or speed against the OL.

Yeah, I'm just as concerned with the inability to consistently generate pressure from the edges as I am with the D backs.

The pash rush doesn’t exist, and the secondary gets beat by everything. It’s going to be bad without adjustments. I don’t know what to think, but I’m worried, and I think the concern is legitimate

So navy, what's your thoughts on the edge rushers. Are they just not as talented as what we had seen for a decade or so or are the coaches just not as good at coaching them up or are the coaches just not running a system that allows them to get pressure?

Looks like the same 7 win team that got hammered in the Texas Bowl.

And THAT is what disappoints me.

Talent is part of it but development is as well. Williams and Turner are starting a year ahead of schedule when compared to the guys that anchored the 2013 and 14 teams. The 2012 team had pass rush issues and put it all together the next year as RSJrs and SRs.

They will probably get better as the year goes on but the staff has to figure out ways to blur the QBs vision

Personally disagree. I think the offense looks much more mature. I thought last year, the offense succeeded on being gimicky. I think this offense looks much more like an offense that can do what it wants when it needs to. Frankly, this offense reminds me of a college version of the Warner era Rams. It almost doesn't matter if it's 3rd and 1 or 3rd and 11. I have confidence at either distance.

Yeah, I know we're 3-0. That's good stuff.

Doesn't mean we can't discuss the trouble we had stopping the pass.

I didn't pay close attention. Did we run many blitz packages? Just off the top of my head, my impression was that we did not.

Sure the offense looks a little better, but I don’t think it will matter much unless the defense significantly improves.

If you dare talk about any troubles, it's because you're a terrible fan. Just ask 3-0JQ.

Our pass defense was terrible. Is what it is.

It either VASTLY improves or Georgia fricking murders us.

Here is the thing 3-0. 2 games on the schedule look like sure losses.

Every other game is very winnable. That means an exciting season is going to unfold. Why are we mad?
