Opposing fans have zero level of investment in this team

Exactly. Take the hair on fire style of evaluation out of this game and see it for what it actually was.

I'm done here. This is like politics. You'll never change anyone's mind. I can't wrap my head around this mentality but if some of y'all want to be miserable over a win...so be it I guess.

I choose not to be.

I'm telling myself we give up 55+ each to Georgia and Alabama. I don't think I can be disappointed that way.

Out of Kentucky, Florida, Tennessee, Memphis, and S. Carolina, how does everyone feel we do in those 5 games? The concern over the D is essential to outlook there.

9-3 is the ceiling

UGA, Bama, USC, and Kentucky are all losses if the D doesn't fix itself.

I expect to be favored against Memphis, Tennessee, Vanderbilt, and Arkansas. The rest will likely be favored. And in 2+ years, Odom still hasn’t had a quality win.

They won't beat Memphis.

Gabe DeArmond's game summary:

OVERALL: Wins shouldn't be dismissed. But they shouldn't automatically get high marks either. For every positive, there was a negative (they were pretty much all on defense). It was a win, but if Missouri plays like that for its next three games, it's going to be 3-3 in a hurry. FINAL GRADE: B-

If Odom wants to have a breakout season, we need to win the Carolina game. I don’t have much hope of us doing that right now.

You're right. That becomes the most important game left on the schedule now. Realistically 1-2 is the goal in the next 3. Then you are 4-2 and hit the easier part of the schedule.

I still think a lot of people think SC is better than they are. We can certainly beat that team.

The win seems like a silver lining, no?
