Bill Clark: Current UAB head coach
age: 51
UAB Record: 33-17
2018 C-USA Champion
2017 C-USA Coach of the Year
2018 Eddie Robinson Coach of the Year
2018 Sporting News Coach of the Year

Knows Southern Recruiting, including all those Bama guys Ol' Nick has no room for.

Literally built a program from scratch, Spit in Bama's eye to do it.

Not only can inspire players, but can inspire an administration as well.

Too bad we could not have got Satterfield last year.

Why no love for Luke Fickell? He’d be my number one choice. Seems like those Ohio is the home of football coaches. Pinkel, stoops, Campbell, Pelini (look what they’ve been since), urban. Something about Ohio.

Not a chance.

I agree we won’t hire him though.

He’s very likely going to end up at Arkansas

The road back to a big time job has to go through somewhere. Why not Mizzou and the SEC. FSU is going to go with whomever looks like the sure thing after the Taggert misfire.

Kiffen is a name 60k will show up to see what he can do. It's also a hire that sounds "bigger" than it actually is.

I think Norvell probably looks like the better prospect for a job like FSU.

Of course, there has been a trend of out of left field hires recently so it could be someone completely off the radar.

What if we hired Kellen Moore?

Exactly. He’d bring a buzz we desperately need. He’d also be able to assemble a top notch staff.

Hiring some boring, old retread will be met with a collective yawn by the fanbase and that’s the absolute last thing this program needs right now

After doing some more coach diggin, Luke Fickell and Bill Napier are the two names that I like because of age and what shitty programs they've turned around.

Even though its Cincinnati, we would have to pay 2.5 million to get Fickell out of there. I think that keeps Sterk away.

You know who Lane’s dad is right?

Nobody on any of the lists could come remotely close to assembling the names that Lane would be able to attract.

I understand you don’t like him, but try not to be silly here

I want to see asses in the seats and talented players in our uniform.

I don’t give a frick about Xs and Os.

We simply can’t hire some milque toast, old, retread that nobody gives a frick about. Has to be some sizzle this time. Sterk knows this. Now whether he can deliver or not remains to be seen
