It will be Mcelwain...and we should probably be happy with it. Experienced, demonstrated winner, knows the footprint, got some lineage, and 57 so less likely to be poached (since fan base is so scared of hiring someone that will leave). Writing is on the wall, it will be Mcelwain.
We should embrace the hell out of him and jump in 100%. We all act like we can demand the best or whatever, but we a weak arse fan base and seem to get more pleasure eating our own.

We were never going to get a guy like Harsin, we take the best that we can get. I never really even like Mcelwain, but we should be excited about the hire. I know Cuonzo is a bad example considering last night, but Mcelwain is the most Sterk here ever.
Also, look at Cuonzo, I get it he has work to do, but WE give minimal support. It is up to US, the fans...we create the environment that winners want to be a part of. Odom (and Cuonzo for that matter) probably want to fire us even more than we want to fire them. This about it, we are a garbage environment for any coach to come to. We check no “boxes”. We (the fans) have to start doing our part. I know some of you do, probably most you that are regulars here...outside of us vocal few, we need the two big markets to step up. We should be playing multiple games in hoops and football in KC/STL every year.

Odom was hired because good coaches didn’t want to touch the Mizzou job in 2015.
I would bet that the way Mizzou does it’s contracts has pushed some coaches away this cycle

One of the 590 hosts went on a similar rant where he said Odom was a great coach but McElwain would be terrible. And that he went to a game against Kentucky when Kim was coach and attendance was embarrassingly bad and that means Mizzou fans suck.

Not sure how I feel about McElwain. His brief stay at Florida was weird. We could certainly do worse than him though.

McElwain is a very bad hire if Mizzou went that way. McElwain is worst than Barry Odom. You do not see what he did the first 2 years? Then the next 2 went down hill. He is at Florida! Got blown out in the SEC championship both times! He is a terrible head coach. I like Brian Harsin or Co-OC at Clemson. If we fail to get either then I am out. I am done.
