Yes. Without a doubt. Rivalries like that should never die. I have spent a lot of time trying to raise my children right and to hate jayhawks. What's the point if we never play them.

There is still value. My daughter screamed "what the heck?" From upstairs the other night. And as I ran upstairs thinking some ill had befallen her she further exclaimed, "Ew! Gross!" I said,"What happened, babe?" She said,"Look!" And there in her Facebook feed was an advertisement for the university of kansas. We marked it as offensive spam.

You need to write a book on good parenting, for real.

Nope, don't miss them at all, for a variety of reasons. The hatred had gotten too much in this internet message board age. Same old retelling of the sordid events surrounding 'bleeding Kansas' and the civil war, the pretense that it was somehow all still relevant, and arguments about which band of thugs were really heroes. Beyond all that crap, the game never had any meaning (in here and now competitive terms) except in 2007.

Hard to miss something you can't escape! I have two in-laws that are kU alums and we live in south central kansas (for now, but will likely move to SW or SE eventually.)

I don't miss what I hate and despise. The worst thing about not carrying on this rivalry is that now there may be a generation gap that fails to understand the reason why ku is so well hated. I'm really talking about the students of MU themselves more than anyone else. The new students not being exposed to the burnt trash heap to the west called Lowrents could cause a gap in the hatred we all have worked so hard to keep going for all these years. Thats the ONLY reason I'd miss this rivalry. That and I just always looked forward to browbeating those redleggers asses.....every year.

But nothing is sweeter than knowing if we reach the SEC championship game this year, it confirms we were right all along to leave the bevo12 behind and they were wrong all along thinking we couldn't compete in the SEC.

frick you, you k-puke bitches!!!!

They are already wrong my friend. SECCG or not, we are already competing. It would be the icing on the cake though.

Yes, I realise Mizzou did the right thing. But getting to the SEC-CG leaves no doubt. It would be the next best thing to knocking the jackassbirds out of the tourny. It's what they covent the most.

I also live in Kansas City, but other than hearing about them from local media and a few friends, I don't think about them at all.

They are so far in my rear view mirror after we left for the SEC. I could care less if we ever play them again in anything. And yes, I still hate the bastards.

I miss the bball games. Those things were almost always intensely played even when we bad. And we would upset them and it just killed them.

Football not all. Why miss a hate fest. It's not like a rivalry. The team's a shitfest, the stadium is beyond depressing. Even when we won it didn't help. It was like I wanted the entire state to burn to the ground and all I got was this lousy football win.

Honestly, no. I think it's fantastic how bitter and delusional they are about the whole situation of us leaving them behind. I'm more interested in forging new rivalries with SEC teams. If anything, I'd like to start playing Nebraska or Illinois again (we still play Illinois in basketball annually).

That says it all, and don't think ku fans don't know it. It is like staking a vampire in the heart with a 2 1/2 twist for good measure.

I hope you mean the SE or SW of the US, and not of kansas. Escape, Bogie! While you can! Go toward the light!

New rivalries will show themselves over time.

Kansas has become irrelevant in football anyways.
