This has probably been discussed before. Drink came to Mizzou wet behind the ears. He's made a lot of bone-headed mistakes. He looked lost at times this year the first few games. The K state game I couldn't believe what I saw, ha!
He grew a lot this year and I'm really excited to see what he can do. I went back and watched some of the player interviews during Fall camp. Schrader's interview was really telling. He talked about how Drink was more "available" since he wasn't running the offense, and being a head coach and how that was a big deal to him. The team seemed to be really close this year.
I'm looking forward to see what the future holds for the Tigers. Also, I'll admit after the first couple of games this year I thought this would be Drink's last season.

Both Drink and UMWFMBCDG are very intentional about building community in their teams. It has served them well.

Hiring an OC helped him grow and he probably asked other coaches their opinions more.
