Or are we recruiting 10 foot tall receivers and guys that run 5.2 40s for the underthrows?

I get he's a college kid and mizzou was his dream school ...

But it's time to find a leader at QB with better decision making, accuracy and an arm...

3 straight awful throws by the guy that shouldn’t be starting.

Odom left the cupboard bare

Drink has failed at getting a transfer

He's recruited 3 four star QBs

I think people might just need to be patient here

No way in hell that happens. Transfer portal won't let that happen. Horn sacrificed this year to play HS baseball instead of enrolling early. But if you sit him behind Cook next year, he is gone.

I mean, I wish we had someone better. We could actually be a good team if so.

I still think Horn is the starter by Vandy

My guy, that offensive line would allow anyone to maul that freshman.

Cook ain't it but make no mistake, you'll be throwing him to the wolves.

What is wrong with that? People on here don't get it. People want to be in charge and not see what is really going on with the team. Like I said give Drinkwitz next two years and it should be a lot better. Got to let him build the program his way or no other HCs will ever be able to succeed getting the team going in the right direction. An example would be Kentucky. Slowly getting the team in the right direction. Now they are no pushovers. Drinkwitz is a year or two away to get things set.
Plus, look how long it took Michigan to be where the team is now. It took the HC a long time and that is a blue blood football program. Sometimes you got to let the HC do it his way and there may be hiccups from time to time.

Lefty, you just posted "Give Drink next two years and it should be a lot better."...but a couple weeks back you said, "If Drinkwitz get his team to win only 3 games this year, then he should be fired."

Which is it?

We've got to be patient. As badly as we want an instant turnaround, it just doesn't happen often. OU ,A&M, FSU, Miami have unlimited funds and recruit who they want, and they are struggling. We're going to have to go the route of Kentucky, Oklahoma State even Kansas State. Keep the coach, let his vision take root, keep recruiting.

I was at the UGA game. This team is close. If Horn plays a little this year and earns the starting job next year, I think we make the jump. Strong QB play really elevates the team.

I think people need to go to the ST PD and read the gradings for the game, especially Cook.

It’s an interesting way to grade and probably about what we would all think. He isn’t great.

QB is the most important position in all of sports. KSU is all Martinez, Clemson is back because their QB play has proved, FSU lost their starter and now look terrible. South Carolina isn't getting the QB play they expected neither is OU or A&M. Being able to attack the defense because you can make all the difficult throws is priceless. Bazelak looked promising then imploded. So that set us back. Horns hs film looks damn good. I believe he is the missing piece this team needs, WHEN HE IS READY!

I think everyone even Drink knew this season looked different as soon as he didn’t land his top portal prospects at QB. He knew Cook wasn’t the answer. We just missed out on a couple of guys that would have made the team look different

Horn throws a lot of interceptions. He’s obviously got elite ability, but so think Drink is trying to get some of the gunslinger out of him and get him to value the ball more.

Cook is what he is. He’s just very average. He can make some plays from time to time but his accuracy from the pocket is just sub par. Of course Drink knew this and that’s why he chased every portal QB he thought was any good.

If people really want to slam the coach, don’t talk about something silly like play calling. Talk about his inability to add the QB he knew he needed. That’s at least a legitimate criticism. If we had even just an above average QB our record probably looks a lot different right now

Did you see the improvement on defense? Plus he is a quarterback away from having a respected team. OL, quarterback, and receivers are still not quite there yet. Next two years is because he has a few things to sort out. That is why next year should see a huge improvement from this year. Looks like Drinkwitz finally found the DC that is doing a much better job. What is hurting the defense is lack of offense that is putting the defense players in the game much longer. The Georgia game is what giving him a chance to fix the offense down the road or next year. It got to the point the team wasn't looking that good at all the first 3 games. Then it is now looking much better. Plus, Drinkwitz need another year after missing out on getting a quarterback from the portal. I believe Michigan and Kentucky and a few other teams have stayed with the HC longer to get the right players and needed time to cleared that up. Some teams can do it right off the bat, but Drinkwitz is still learning and need more time. 4th and 5th year is about right to righten the ship and stabilize the team. I said if the team played bad like the Auburn game and the first 2 games. Then it might not work out for Drinkwitz. So far, I am seeing a slow improvement on defense and the offense is still struggling because Drinkwitz failed to get a better quarter from the portal. He is still learning on the job. He is getting better. I will give him more time. Looking promising so far and if he keeps it up then next year should be much better. That is why the first 3 games were not so good but realizing that it was a quarterback away from a good year. Horn and/or a quarterback from the portal should make the difference next year. Got to keep up with recruiting too. Can't let some key recruits go elsewhere. Hopefully he gets the team to play similar to the Georgia game the rest of the way. Can't go back to playing so bad again in some games this year. It may hurt recruiting key players down the stretch.

Exactly, I mean how obvious could he make it. He chased every decent QB in the portal. When he gets Horn ready, then we can actually see what Drink can do.

I’ve thought this all season, but it looks like we have been throwing Cook to the wolves all year.

Horn has been here for around 4 months and may not be ready, but it’s time for him to get some snaps. Cook has been here since January 2020 and he looks like he has been here for 4 months.

I haven’t been able to watch the entire Georgia game, but it sounds like the Army game where he needed to just make a few more plays.

The Auburn game shouldn’t have been close. We should have won by 2 TD’s, but Cook can’t make plays. It doesn’t matter about the play calling if your QB can’t make the plays. When we needed a play last year we gave the ball to Badie.

It’s not just the QB. We have good WR’s, but everything else is probably below average. Oline below average, but getting better. RB’s below average and not much room for improvement. QB is below average and not room for improvement. What can make the offense better is a QB. Like somebody said in a previous post the QB is the most important player on any sports team.

We really don’t know about what plays or what Drink is drawing up for the offense. I think Cook improvises or doesn’t make the right read a lot. I think Bazelak did the same thing and that’s why we relied on Badie so much. We can’t do that this year

I think players play and talent wins. If we had a Drew Lock at QB we are likely 4-1 with a win over #1 Georgia

I don’t like Bazelak, but we might be 4-1 with him too.
