Pinkel, Saban, Urban, hell even Muschamp gets in their coordinator ear and says let’s pound this ball. It’s how we are now build and who we are. There is no way Kirby Smart throws that ball more than 2 times in the third quarter, a good coach may have even brought in a Micah Wilson to give us an extra blocker in the run game. It eats clock, helps us with field position and all.

Damn right. Well put.

Wet pussycats is all on HCBO. Head coaches oversee the equipment managers. Rookie mistake again. Did Odom have them practice in rain? The frickin' world is made of water. If not, rookie mistake.

Constant rookie mistakes by HCBO. The SEC is not a league to wear training wheels.

Ultimately it’s wins and losses of course. You win people quickly forget what play calls were shite, who dropped what pass, what INT were thrown.

Bingo!

Had we stopped their last FG, the slings and arrows would be much less. Sportswriters, coaches, and players would have said, "It wasn't a pretty win, but we'll take it. The team didn't give up blah blah blah."

And we'd all have been a wee bit less discouraged.

I just feel like we have a very selective memory here. Remember when Dave Yost was the OC? I can still hear the screams of “run the ball!!!” Echoing through time...

Of course. That and why we only throw behind the line of scrimmage. Or why our defense always play 7-10 yards off. I hear and remember them all.

I also like to self reflect as a fan and recognize that I complain and I know the game is not played to perfection. I recognize our teams limitations and understand that the men that lead this team gets paid millions for a reason.

Honestly, what I saw this weekend would have even been cool if this was 2016 or last year. The reason this is a problem in my mind is because it’s 2018 where you have a veteran QB touted as a top 5 pick with an offensive line who is running through people and clearly defined limitations due to injury, attrition, and lack of talent.

Knowing all of that and seeing the flow of the game on Saturday. Knowing you have offensive analyst highlighting our 7yds a carry number, defensive minds recognizing our disadvantages, our head coach still puts us in a position to play from behind. This year three, you see coaches like Mullen adjust to his lack of offensive talent in the OL and QB in two games. You see Moorhead shift his philosophy with a QB who can’t pass for shite and how to approach moving forward with his team strengths.

It was evident during the broadcast how we were playing timid based on our head coaches words. Announcers acknowledging during pregame meetings he was planning to avoid Deebo at all cost, meeting with Kris to say it would be a 4th quarter game. When honestly all we had to do was kick that motherfricker deep in the end zone like the first kick of the game. That gives us a peak into the lack of fortitude needed in his spot. There are ways to not shite on your opponent during a halftime discussion and acknowledge your disappointment.

Never thought I would say this, especially this year, but we need to ditch the passing game, and become a run heavy offense. Like many things, funny how everyone was dogging all things mizzou about the running game through first 2 games, now looks like we have an amazing running game.

edit: i know they wont since lock..

Yup, this is what’s so annoying about these guys. Can’t bother themselves to do regular coverage of the team, but you damn well better believe they’ll be quick to jump up when they can right something like this.

What did Miklasz say that was inaccurate?

Good post, I don’t agree with everything but you have good perspective.

I think we all hope that we can starting playing better football and this works.

We’ve got a lot of football left this year, so we shall see.

Thanks Jesus. I love the different perspectives from you and others as well!

I hope we do turn it around and see Barry as that pillar for the next 20+ years. I also want us to make sure we are setting the program up for success.

I know BO seems like the easy target, but lets not forget, when the smoke cleared, 3 players directly played a large part in the loss.

1. Johnson's drop in the end zone

2. McCann missed field goal

3. Crockett being stupid

In a perfect world the HC prevents this, but the truth is they are D1 players on scholarship to play their position and help the team. They all 3 have to do their jobs.

I could list about 20 plays like that.

Lock’s ridiculous INT.

Palmore dropped INT

Acy dropped INT (would have literally ended the game and hit him in the hands)

Gillespie blown coverage on the TE throw on the last drive.

The list goes on. That game was just a complete pile of shite.

Crockett should have been pulled from the game and wasn't even pulled from that series.

Blown coverages and poor player discipline are indicative of poor coaching. Bad play calling is poor coaching. Bad game prep is poor coaching.

Bernie doesn't know shite about Mizzou football or anything beyond the Cards and even that is debatable. Hell, he gets names wrong or simply can't remember them at times. And I'm talking top names on the team.

The biggest problem about the rain wasn't the lack of cover or the gloves. It was the players' heads. One team embraced it. Another team panicked in it.

It's not whether he's right or wrong. I refused to even read it. He opines like he knows it all just one breath after saying I don't even watch the games. He literally talks about how he doesn't watch games or teams that he then opines about. Now he might have watched this particular game but I refuse to read him because of this.
