With Green out I would image that the call sheet will be even more vanilla than normal. That said, there are some things we will want to see on both sides of the ball.
1. 13 personnel. Norfleet, Harris and James on the field at the same time. Double tights with James as the Hback. The defense has to come into the phone booth. Olugbode has a true one on one in the boundary. Chip has used this package at several stops and quite a bit last year.
2. A true 4WR look. Olugbode, Lee, Goodie, and Montgomery have too much to offer vertically.
3. Put Work on an island. He has to win early to build confidence.
4. The DTs two deep needs to dominate. Period.
5. The Safeties have to be assignment sound. No looking into the backfield.

#5 - Nuke with the big ask for a Batoon defense right off the bat.

Yaro has no excuses this year. His two deep is either guys he has coached the last two years or guys he brought in through the portal.

I've got an old fence rail just right for Yaro if needed. Watching the safeties last year made me want to throw breakables.

Deloach and Keys are a significant drop-off from the top 3 CBs.
The safety room looks solid.
Lang isnt that dude.....yet. Runs to the left side were largely ineffective. He and Wilson looked like they hadnt played together. Green needs to play next week.
Reichart is not an SEC lineman. He moves like he is playing in sand. The backup oline group overall looked like shite in the 2nd half.
Work and Peagler looked pretty good playing together.
Simmons definitely has an NFL arm and didnt throw it to the wrong guys.
The WR two deep looked good sans DO's fumble.
Solid effort by the front 7 in the first half. Plenty of pressure but some sacks would have been nice

Lots of opportunities. Good to have that to coach up before the beakers.

What the hell happened to DeLoach? He was on a good trajectory but looked terrible, same with Huff. Maybe its mental because they can't break thru to a starting position.

Some guys are great athletes. Some guys have great instincts. Some guys are good athletes that have great instincts. Some guys are great athletes with good instincts. DeLoach doesnt appear to be any of those.

Jones was probably more interested in getting Lang and Hafer as many reps as possible. Two Sophomores and Reichert are his next guys up.

I went back and watched the 1st half, comparing Work and Lange. Lange is better in pass pro, by a significant margin. I didn't notice much of a difference in their run blocking, and with it being Simmons' blind side, I think Lange is the answer at RT.

Lang's pass pro grade was 88 and change. That run blocking grade......
Missouri had more success running middle and right by a wide margin.

Work drops his head and lunges in pass pro. What was his pass pro grade?

Work was 67.1 overall, 53.6 PBlock on 21 snaps and 69.8 RBlock on 18 snaps Work's zone blocking grade was 72. On true pass sets Work's PBlock grade was 79. Work did allow a hurry which really drags his PBlock grade down.
Lang was 65.3 overall, 87 Pblock on 27 snaps and 54.3 RBlock on 19 Snaps. Lang's zone blocking grade was 55.7. On true pass sets, Lang's Pblock grade was 81.
Whit Hafer was the best olineman by a wide margin.
