Pete Thamel reporting that Mizzou is the favorite to land Austin Simmons from Ole Miss. Entered the portal with a No Contact Tag. Was the starter before Chambliss took over due to injury.

When a player enters the portal with the no contact tag, I assume that means there was Tampering, whether official or unofficial.

My only concern is the 5 INTs the first 2 games and how much that factored into staying with Chambliss

You are spot on. Lots of back channels for this one

Yeah. I’m hoping/guessing that this is depth recruiting.

Actually that's good work by his agent. Why wait to see what the Chambliss waiver decision will be? Mizzou needs a starter, and has 1.5 Million freed up with the Pribula transfer.

Big arm QB who won the job at Ole Miss is an easier sell to WR talent in the portal. We need at least 2 playmakers to go with Olugbode.

Apparently our old friend Jayvan Boggs is a target

Need an outside WR worth a damn so we can play Ooga in the slot where he can light it up.

Has anyone heard that Duece Knight from Auburn is interested in Mizzou?

Any truth to the rumor that the Kennesaw St Qb has a visit set here on the 7th?

I think drink is more enamored with the PR bump that comes with Simmons than thinking Simmons is actually worth it.

I’ve come to the conclusion that drink is not a coach. He’s a CEO managing football operations. He shouldn’t dictate game planning, play calling. Leave that to coaches. He wants to be a lane Kiffin but is more like Jerry jones.

That's probably a pretty sound description.

Damon Wilson probably needs to shite or get off the pot so we can portal accordingly.

With Green returning there may be money for the Michigan State WR. Cam Coleman is said to be asking 4 Million, even at half that, he's not worth it. I still like the Washington kid who played with Olugbode, he has track speed at 6'1". CJ Smith won't cost us a thing. He only runs 3 routes, but he runs a 10.3 100 and is 6'2". Be good, free depth who can run a post route on occasion.

The North Texas slot receiver has a visit lined up with us down the road. DO will stay on the outside if that kid signs with us, especially if Shawn Terry gets into the rotation next year.

We'll likely sign a handful of WRs. The Hendricks kid who played for Ohio would seem to be a natural.
