He has ruled out MU apparently

LINK

Cantwell was on the radio this morning down here in SWMO.

They said he is down to 4. Is announcing on Apr. 30.

He said all the schools he is looking at have crazy good facilities. Said really all big Power 5 schools do. Said Nebraska's facilities were maybe the best, then restated all the schools had amazing, big # facilities.

Said he has not paid a ton of attention to NIL stuff. Letting his team handle that.

He said he's known for a while he was going out of state. Mizzou never had a legitimate shot.

A really good, interesting take on the Cantwell recruiting from Gabe

How many teams can offer incoming freshmen big money to kids that probably won't be a starter? Especially when that kid may get mad when he does not play and heads to his next school.

Not to argue, but I wasn't saying it was on Mizzou. just that if he wanted to maximize his career earnings, being in a rare situation even among blue chippers, he might be choosing what best prepares him for the most schemes at the pro level.

4* QB Gavin Sidwar 6’3” 190lbs from Warrington, PA commits to Mizzou. 247 has him ranked as the 23rd best QB and 347th overall player in the class of 2026. He has the same personal coach as Matt Zollers.
quote:

Sidwar passed for 31 touchdowns and 2,747 yards on a 67% completion rate (220-for-318), leading Wyndmoor (Pa.) La Salle College High School to a 10-1 record during his junior campaign. He only threw six interceptions.

quote:

The No. 6 recruit in Pennsylvania, Sidwar has worked under quarterbacks coach Tim Taggart at La Salle and outside of school. Taggart is also the personal coach of Zollers, who Missouri signed out of Royersford (Pa.) Spring Ford in the 2025 class.

He's actively recruiting players on twitter to join him at Oregon, so I'm gonna guess it's UO.

Cantwell commits to Miami. No chance he stays there for 3 years, so we should get a shot in the transfer portal or maybe even before NSD

Reported 2MM NIL deal. What's unknown is if that's annually or over four years.

Lots of NIL money, nice weather, beaches, and hot women. I completely understand the appeal to a teenager, but he will definitely transfer out after a year or two. ACC is a joke and playing in a half empty stadium will get old quickly.

2M even for the “top LT” in the class seems like a piss poor use of resources. Par for the course for dumbass Miami.

At that price, he HAS to start for it to even come close to making sense. What coach wants to put that kind of pressure on an 18 year old?

Cristobal has always been a great recruiter. How much of a coach he is can be argued.

I think he has often been given credit for others coaching guys he recruited. I guess we will see.

I dunno many HS that started immediately at LT and didn’t get owned.

Maybe Pace but I wasn’t old enough to what what he was like in college.
