Luther has moved his announcement up a day...

Frank Cusumano
@Frank_Cusumano

Luther Burden has changed his announcement date to October 19th. It will now be at Herbert Hoover Boys and Girls Club, the place where Luther used to play little league football. Coach Drink and Luther’s dad stay in pretty close contact. Stay tuned.

Could Burden moving the commitment date be a sign? He will now be committing on a Tuesday, which starts with the letter T. The nickname of Missouri's football team, the Tigers, also starts with a T. Seems unlikely that this is a coincidence, am I overthinking it?

Apparently his dad works for schnucks and is working an angle to get something going.

How do you build a good program? You need to recruit better players! If you are telling them to go elsewhere how the heck can Drinkwitz build the football program? You need to give him time to build it up. Odom? He failed in two key things. Couldn't recruit better players and he loses games to teams he shouldn't have. Plus he was going backwards in that last year and was the right time to let him go. I have said it may take some set back due to talents gap from the rest of the SEC. Drinkwitz is still learning but if things doesn't improve next year that is when he will be on a hot seat. The following year will be when he got to show it.

New commitment from Nick Quadrini - Kicker from Kickapoo

Twitter

Kohl's has him rated as the #100 kicker for 2022, assume he's a walk-on

Anyone heard anything about how Burden's visit went? Also did we have any other visitors this weekend besides Burden & Horn?

Seems like a walkon since the photo has DawsonDowning and Barrett Banister, who were both walkons, who earned schollys.

That is what worried me is that no one is saying anything right now! But I still feel that Drinkwitz is on the right track to build this football program the right way. DC is the huge situation right now. If he can get the team to improve the defense as the year goes on and bring on much needed top players onto the field next year, then the team should be much better after huge problem earlier this year. Much better than what Odom have done in recruiting. Give it time. I mean it! Not a quick fix if you want to get top players and then bring them on the field at the same time and go from there. Drinkwitz may have to go the Kentucky route to be successful.

We might need to find a new kicker. Mevis could transfer to Norte Dame after this year. His hometown is less than 50 miles from South Bend and their kicker is a 5th year senior.

Right now Badie and Mevis are our best players.
