Shocked. Be more shocked if he ever plays QB at Mizzou. But good for him and good for Mizzou.

As JQ stated it's a calculated offer and Estes is pretty raw as a QB. On the other side of that he has all of the things that can't be coached.

Got no problem with any in roads we can make at ESL. I've been pushing to have more of a presence there for decades.
Here's a link again to that Underdogs documentary on ESL where a lot of focus is on Thomas and Estes, with a showing from Simms. Forgot about the serious car accident Estes was in and that the teachers' strike cut short their season.

Josh Smith a 2018 DE from New Orleans committed. Might be time for a 2018 thread to go up.

Just thinking the same thing.

Man for as methodical as GP's system seemed, wiBO seems just the opposite. Hell we offered an 8th grader even.

I will sticky it if you start one

We should create a shared account with a few trusted posters having access to it. We could then share the account to have access to update the thread that way it doesn't al fall on one person.

Word is Smith never talked to the staff, claims he's calling them in the morning. Also said he was offered earlier this year by a defensive analyst, not a assistant coach, so it may be a case where the kid wants to commit but the offer isn't really there. The 2018 in state DL class is loaded, idk that we take another commitment before some of them decide.

There is absolutely no response to this by the staff via the usual means. Dave Matter jumped all over it, interestingly enough.

Thompson and Parker could end up on the OL though, but is kind of strange he hasn't talked to the coaches yet.

The smith commitment was confirmed today. Weird situation but sounds like it's official.

I wonder if they told him the offer was contingent and he jumped the gun. It would not look good to publicly say no to a committment. Better to see what you can recruit and tell him to look elsewhere if needed so neither mizzou or the rcruit has egg on their face. Thats what bama did with brendan scales.

We have to get him. We can't lose 3 of our top in-state recruits to rival schools

We are supposed to be in good shape, but the longer it drags out probably the worse for us.

That'd be Oklahoma State, not Ohio State, btw.

Honestly Arky scares me because of BB, but I do believe their class is nearly full so hopefully that plays in our favor. How many more OLinemen are we taking does anyone know?
