He had great numbers last year and one site had him running a 4.69 and another had him at 4.4 Pick which one you like the best.

Collins had 1,299 yards and 14 TD at Saddleback last fall. He has three years to play two seasons of eligibility.

One of the links posted here said Jacobs (I think) had really strong ties to Walters. So some of those Oklahomans aren't rotten apples.

Is Jacobs visiting this weekend?

Not sure but Bama was visiting him yesterday and may or may not have offered.

Hmm, looks like Dowdell cancelled his OV and is headed to Georgia Southern???
Now that is really fricking weird.

Considering the dumpster fire we've had this week, I am not at all surprised.

Catalina is visiting Auburn this weekend instead of us, Swenson is headed to Oklahoma instead of us. WTF is going on? The new OL coach doesn't seem to be much of a recruiter at all.
Have a bad feeling this class is going to end with a dud with the way the last few days have went.

Y'all freak out way to easy. The big worry is losing Chris Wilson bc he could recruit and do it well. Jeremy Crabtree said on 810 that this class is better then fans realize. We have 2 talented RB, Solid depth. Good JUCO WR. Gotta Remember we had really good class last year!!

I was encouraged to hear how high Crabtree was On Collins. Said he was a big sleeper that Heupel was watching while at Utah State.

Right, even if this class tanks...we'll still get a handful of good players out of it and last year's class was great.
It does make next year's class paramount though. At least we have a 4* WR already committed.

We'll see where we end up, but a class in the 50s won't get it done in the SEC. It's OK to be skeptical but still optimistic.

The way I look at it, this class is about addressing immediate need. We got bigger and faster at RB, another QB to replace Printz and a WR with good hands. As long as the OL coach can teach and Heupal works with Lock, and Ford can coach RB's, we should be fine. 2016 has more talent to choose from. The 4 and 5 star guys in 2015 are not as good as those same ranks from 2013,2014 or 2016. 2015 recruiting will go down as a collective "meh" for everyone.

This class will represent a shitty season in 2018.
The reason we sucked this year was our crap season at 5-7 in 2012. The 2013 recruiting class was not good ( Augusta was the only 4 star in that class). To play consistently we have to break that cycle.

Something positive for a change
According to a recent press release from Rock Bridge AD David Egan, Tre Williams will sign with Missouri on Wednesday at a school ceremony.

Former Alabama WR Chris Black appears to be in the #Mizzou database. Hometown is Jacksonville, which matches up.

Josh Jacobs confirms his #Bama offer with Scout. Potential #Mizzou #Bama trips now on deck.
Maybe he will still visit?

Jacobs is visiting Mizzou this weekend, as is Arkeem Byrd. The staff must really hate the rbs on the current roster.

If you ain't 5'11" or taller, you gone.
Posted on 1/29/16 at 1:47 pm to surgicalvenom
Well Jacobs is listed at 5'10. I don't think height matters as much as the overall build of the running back. LaDanian Tomlinson is probably the best back of the last 15 years and he was about 5'9 225

"The staff must really hate the rbs on the current roster."
My gut reaction was to ask "Based on last year, wouldn't you?"
But... I keep coming across rumors and mentions from unnamed sources about younger OL that should have been playing last year, but were not put out on the field.
And most of us were screaming for Tyler Hunter over Ish Witter after what, game 3,4?
So I'm trying to keep an open mind that some of the players we never saw last year do not simply suck, and perhaps should have been playing.
