A lap around the track so to speak.Having seen youre teams and visting the SEC venue's.Did it confirm the move was the right one for you as a Mizzou fan?

Football,Basketball,Softball are the programs you have the ability to be a factor in.It was a sound buisness decision for the confrence to have you(new footprint, sound academics).
Just wondering how you folks feel a year later.

Oh, it was absolutely the right decision, no question. It'll take time, and we have improvements to make, but I think we'll get there. This year was a perfect storm for football, and a down year for baseball too. We'll get there. We are playing the best now, our game can only improve!!

Still pretty happy. I was a B1G advocate forever, but I really like being in the conference. Would probably like it better if our teams had better seasons, but it is what it is.

Everyone I've met from an SEC team at alumni parties and just bumping into on the street here in Vegas has been awesome and really excited for us to join.

The rant confirms everything I feared about the SEC. Luckily, most SEC fans out here in the Great Southwest aren't ranters.

Thanks!! And I would have always preferred the SEC. Growing up in southeast Missouri, we were always fans of SEC teams. This is the best place we could have ended up, and our fans know it.

Happy with the move? Absolutely!!! Happy with the results? Not at all. If the administration and the various staff step it up, Mizzou will be fine in time.

Football was a smack in the face. This year will tell if GP and crew were all smoke and mirrors in the Big 12. This year will tell us if last year truly was a perfect storm of unfortunate circumstances or if the program and GP really just aren't at that level.

Basketball was a strange season with all the transfers, which seems to be becoming the norm these days. We'll make the tourney more years than not and we'll compete for the conference once every 5 years or so.

Softball will compete with the best of them. The softball coach is probably better at what he does than any other coach at MU, other than possibly wrestling. We have 2 of the top pitchers in the nation coming in next year to help with the loss of Thomas.

Baseball was one of the weakest teams MU has fielded in a while(at least position players)going into the strongest conference in the nation. I don't think expectations were high going in and the record sucked, but a closer look at the season says it wasn't as bad as the record shows. The only team we had no chance against was Vandy, and they're damn good this year. We had only 1 win with 10 losses in games we had 2 errors or more. We played roughly .500 ball if 1 error or less. Clean up the fielding alone and the team could have gone roughly .500. Now add some bats and we can be competitive(not challenging for conference titles, just competitive).

The move to the SEC kind of caught me off guard but was happy it happened. I really didn't want the B10. Even with the year we had in football last season, I'm looking forward to this season and a new OC. I am one of the few that still thinks Pinkel can get it done even though he does some crazy stuff. He's much better than the unknown.

Loved everything about the move. Can't wait to make my first road trip this fall to Vandy. Hated the way the Big 12 was set up Division wise. The South was stacked and going on a roadtrip to Ames was nothing to boast about. Told people that I had seats on the field at the Bama game and they were like" How did you score those tickets ". Bama fans were very classy and they came in droves, though I didn't see all the RV's that you'll were saying would be here....SEC, SEC

Per Dave Matter, in 2010 Mizzou took home $9 million from the Big 12, around $13 million in 2011, none in 2012. This year from the SEC they received $20.7 million from the SEC With the potential to earn $37 million in a year after the launch of the SEC Network....so yes I am happy with that move after making $13 million in last revenue split with big 12.

Feeling less sure about it since football and basketball were both massive disappointments. Not to mention that Kansas City has been hung out to dry by the move.

Football and basketball would have been major disappointments whether we made the move or not. The KC thing I get. What would be nice is if they could get KC to host the SEC vs. Big 12 basketball games over the course of a weekend. Doubt that would fly well but maybe at least Mizzou's game could be played there.

Very true.

Yeah that would be cool. I'm still in support of the move, but it really sucks going from getting to see Mizzou in town for football and basketball every season to now never seeing them in town.

I'd like to see us play arkansas at arrowhead. That would slap the beakers in the face. Play a couple preseason basketball games at sprint too.
