No linebackers at all and 2 more RB's? I don't understand....is Caban a grade issue? His highlight reel is incredible.
That would be a very good finish, I just don't understand getting Nick Gibson AND Alec Murphy.

he addressed that in today's recruiting q & a thread.
says the 2014 guys might not stay at RB (didnt specify which or both) and that there might be a sign and place from the 2015 group (also did not say who)

quote:this still doesn't justify 3 RBs in this class imo.

and HOW many Safety types are we taking??? this seems like too many...

Danley is a good get. Don't really know about Welch.

Inside guy. Likely a center. I like him. He's got some upside but OL is such a crapshoot, I don't think anyone is going to go on a limb speaking in definites.

Danley is not a get yet. Hevesy will probably bitch slap him on his visit and he will sign with Oklahoma.

"Mississippi State is No. 2 and that is the way it still is," said Lewis. "Ole Miss is up there, too, and I like both schools a lot. I love State's pride and tradition and the way they are getting ready to build a national championship-contending program. They are getting good players and I like the talent Mississippi State is producing and developing. I really like seeing that and Mississippi State is a little above Ole Miss."

"I would say it is not much of a factor," said Lewis. "But I am close with Farrod and other guys in their class and me and Farrod talk to each other every day. I know he loves Mississippi State and so do I. I am committed to Alabama and happy with my decision. But February 5th is a long ways away and I just see what happens between now and then."
Don't shoot the messenger.

Two CB's to Florida today too. Man I am going to be pissed if we take three fricking RB's and leave Walker and/or Caban out.

Well I will understand not taking Walker if they just like Calvin, Joseph, Campbell, Bates better.
Not really understanding Caban though unless it's a grade issue.

from what I understand on Caban it's his height (6' 1") and his 40 time (4.7) that the staff wasn't thrilled with

I like Campbell better, but out of the other 4 on our board there's really no one that is just head and shoulders above the others, IMO.
I am on the other side of the coin though, I can understand Caban better, just because he was a little slower than Collins likes at LB.
Who knows though, neither of us are wrong, probably just a matter of opinion because they're both pretty damn good.

We only lose 2lbs this season Matt Wells and McKinney (if he declares). We have tons of young talent at LB and just signed 2 good ones and have 2 committed in Washington and McNair, and likely Jamal Peters or Mark Mclaurin could both grow into LBs.
Caban is a good player but he may be the oddman looking in. I trust Collins and he likes big framed 6'2"-6"5" type LBS
