Interesting.

Awesome.

Wouldn't this destroy what the SecRant is?
if a certain fan base on the site decided that it wanted it own forum, we would explore accommodating them.

Will banned posters be reinstated for this new SECRant site?

Seems like there would certainly be revenue opportunity in this, have you seen how poor certain fan boards are? (I'm looking at you, Tigerboard)

We need our ringleader back. I won't mention name, because I don't want to add to his sentence.
ETA: Plus I need a new sig

That's a good point, because that site is terrible. Some schools wouldn't need their own board because they already have prominent boards, like an A&M board here would have nothing on TexAgs. But for Mizzou, TD could become the premier free board for them.

I actually agree with this...

It definitely has the potential, it would just be a matter of getting posters to come over here instead of the weaker, older Mizzou board (Tigerboard).
PowerMizzou is great, but since it is premium/paid content, TD could definitely get some traffic.

What I've found most interesting and useful in SR is the viewpoints offered that one may not hear on a club fansite (once the homerism is dispensed with). I suppose this may due to 'groupspeak' not being the norm and assumptions more readily challenged. Once separate forums are set up, regardless of what specific rules/goals are stated, a view from a fan not of that school will be construed as 'trolling', imo, and come to be disregarded almost out of hand. I understand the thought behind separate team forums but as I said, this is the norm in blogosphere and would diminish SR, whereas fan interaction is what sets it apart. I realize there would simply be a general forum where fans of all clubs would meet but this seems like much duplication, regarding topics.I'm sure all this will be considered before that 'move'.
BTW, glad to see PHPBB style is used here. ESPN switched to facebook style and this turned out to be a mistake, imo.

...you mean SECr could definitely get some traffic. There's a split occurring, man!

Because reading is hard.
Huh?
If I am interested in a thread I read the entire thread. When I go back to it I would like to be able to find where I left off. Again maybe there is a way, but on this board I don't know it.

Exiling (the often inaccurate) cut and pasted fap fact threads to a team board removes the traffic spawned by others trying to prove the statements are result of "cooked books" by linking equally one sided data.

Sounds like the new SECr will only help solidify this site as the best of college football forums!
