New Process to gain access to a team forum...please read...

To gain access to a team forum, please try to post on it. If you don't already have access, you will see a link to complete a form to gain access.
Complete the form, hit submit and wait patiently. There is no guarantee that you will be admitted. It helps if you have a decent post history/track record on other SECRant/TD forums.
IMPORTANT: Don't start a new thread on the Help Board requesting access or asking why you haven't been admitted. We will be deleting all of those threads in an effort to clean up this board.

Will we be notified of a decision or is it just going to be a check back in a week and see if posting privileges have been granted sort of thing? Because I would like to receive a form letter on nice team board letterhead notifying me of the decision. I am a professional poster and demand to be treated as such.

True words. I would think we would go from a plethora of access requests to a plethora of "Why am I not getting access" threads. What exactly would be the difference?

I'm sorry if that came out confrontational. I think it's a great idea. I'm just wondering how the vetting process would go if it is only a one sided conversation. Say someone asked for entrance onto a board with a well thought out entrance request and then it's put to a vote by that boards admin. The applicant would only get that opening salvo without a chance to rebut any criticism that was raised in the vetting thread. Would it be possible to restrict someones access to a team board in order to post solely in an application thread? Or even a sub board on the help board for those issues?
Don't get me wrong. I think this is a great site and I thoroughly admire the work you guys do to make it so.

I made an official request and charitable offer to join up with the Auburn board yesterday Swoopin & beaver said they're needy folks involved.
