Rustle is generally an adverse individual or small group reaction or feeling to an individual event or posting. It is a state of being ("rustled") or the act of placing someone in that state of being ("to rustle" or "rustling").
Melt is generally an adverse large group reaction to a large event or occurrence. It is most usually a reaction ("melting"), but can also be a feeling ("full melt"). An individual poster does not generally cause the melt of another individual or group.
