Former UF Defensive Guys Give Their Thoughts About The Defense

The fans are saying that his contract is up this year. Who do you guys want? Someone promoted or someone that up and coming from outside?

Anyone with half a brain can see that he needs to be gone.
With Mullen though, I'll believe it when I see it.

My thoughts exactly. There probably aren’t too many people in the world who, Florida fan or not, know it’s time.

Nope.

You want real change on that side of the ball? You clean house.

At this point, IMO, it's beat UG or fire Grantham the next day.

Mullens loyalty to Grantham is bringing the entire program down. When you score 42 and lose, and this isn't the first time, you have to make a change.

Pay Muschamp whatever it takes to return to UF as DC.

If Mullen doesn't fire Grantham, he needs to be fired. I could see Charlie Strong perhaps wanting to leave the Jaguars. At least with him, our players will know how to tackle.

We don’t have many good recruiters, he’s one of our best. He can stay

Jags have one of the worst defenses in the league

Letting Mullen hang around and sacrificing the defense isn’t the answer. I’ve taken up for Mullen in the past, but that stopped last year after the LSU game. I see him as easily replaceable at this point. Sure, there would be some degree of gamble in the move. But is our standard going to be 7-10 wins and sub par recruiting or getting back to competing for titles?

We can get rid of Grantham, but I don’t see the foundation of the program shifting- player talent.

Mullen needs to be removed and allowed to go to a lesser pressure filled environment. He isn’t going to respond well to the rest of the year, especially after the UGA game.
