Usually I dont want to talk to anyone and drink a ton of whiskey after we lose, but this game kinda is what it is. We can win out if we play up to our potential each game.

Really..really hoping we dont see the Missouri type game next week where we lose all our fight vs USCE.

Defense will be fine. Very few offenses will exploit so easily and Zuniga and Greenard hopefully get back to provide a four man pass rush which we clearly need.

Still. Georgia is VERY winnable. Missouri scares me though in November. That game will be cold and possibly snowing and they have a pretty good team.

We can still win out..and we played well enough to prove we are a top ten team. Just need to improve some things we could do a lot this year still. We proved to me we are close to back to what is expected. That is a top 3 team there on the road and we went to to toe till some weird calls at the end. Go Gators.

Im not mad about the game, UGA made it moot which I said earlier. Im more concerned about injuries which was my fear before the game and Ill be damned if we didn't lose the 2 guys we couldn't replace.

Not me, It seemed to me the defense never got off the bus. Yes the passrush wasn't there but lets not fool ourselves. Joe B played pitch in catch all night on our DBs

Look, y'all can call me a homer or whatever but before the season I had us going 11-1 with the loss coming to LSU. I'm still very encouraged by what I saw offensively. We had our chances in the game but we made a few mistakes and had a few missed assignments. Trask showed me that there's not a moment that's going to be too big for him and that's encouraging heading into the upcoming games. Didn't like Grantham's game plan for this game though. Defense needs to get a lot better, especially at tackling in space.

We still control our own destiny.

LSU and Auburn were the two games I was sincerely worried about, we went 1 - 1 against them. That, to me, is a win in the end. I have a lot of faith in this team but I really want us to hand the keys over to Trask and...

Reel is gonna hate me.

Transition to a Spread Air Raid offense. Our best running plays were options, reverses and speed sweeps, even when Trask was in the game. If that's what it takes to move the ball then that's who we need to be.

I think a few experiments have proven not to work in this game.

I don't hate anyone Straws. I wasn't worried about the LSU game or the AU game really. But I didn't know we would be minus two of our starting DEs. We couldn't get to Burrow at all and if Trask would have had the time to throw that Burrow did...much different game.

The real turning point of the game rests on the shoulders of # 72 Forsythe when he had to hold because his footwork was pure shite and LSUs Chaisson got around him. Perrine had just busted a big play...it was about a 41 yd swing in field position and we were backed up to the 15 yd line, a false start and a sack of Trask made us punt from the edge of the end zone. At that point LSU had the short field and turned the game around after we had taken the lead.

Our OL was helpless most of the time. Sad. It wasn't from lack of effort...it boils down to talent and having more experience. Up until that holding call we had managed to somewhat go toe to toe with LSU with creative plays and talented receivers that kept us in it.

Now we have to rely on Moon, Bogle and a few others to secure a win against USCe...It may be picked up as a night game by ESPN which isn't good for us at Williams Brice. Our defense was pushed around last night and USCe has a good offense.

Our defense was horrible. That was the only surprise of the game for me. The offense was good in the passing game . Mullen got to cute changing QBs with time running out and taking Jones out for the 3rd and 1 play . This loss was a team effort including Mullen.

I am not going to bitch about Mullen. He has this rag tag patched together team doing pretty well in back to back huge games. I hope we can somehow win the Carolina game and get everyone healthy for the Cocktail Party.

Same. Look Mullen is one of the best play callers in the game. We are at Tiger Stadium at night with a bad Oline and our defense isnt stopping them. While I do agree he got to cute, if it works we call it brilliant. It didnt so it's a bad decision.

Mullen went to win the game. In the end that's what I want. Look at Smart. He is such a cowardly coach. I'll take bat shite crazy plays or weird shite any day if the coach is doing it to win over playing not to lose.

If we handle business against SCAR and get healthy for UGA, I'll feel fine. Need Zu and JG back. Would be nice to get Toney back too.

Mullen proved what I knew all along, that dude can coach. He is squeezing everything he can out of this Jim Mcelwain roster. It comes down to all 11 guys doing their jobs and not missing assignments. Go back and watch the 4th down option play late in the game. If Delance does his job and seals off the linebacker like he's supposed to, Trask pitches the ball to Perine and it's a walk-in touchdown. That's just one example off the top of my head but in the end it comes down to getting all 11 guys to execute and do their job on any given play. Mullen can coach and when he starts getting the big time blue-chip prospects to come to Florida...WATCH OUT.

Kyle Pitts is the best TE in CFB and its not close.

Trask playing brought the TE back into our offense.

This. I really don't feel all that bad about last night. In eight quarters of football, we took down Auburn and then hung with LSU through three of the remaining four. I hate Trask threw that pick in the end zone simply because I really wanted to beat the spread, but I would have never guessed we'd hang that long in an offensive slugfest.

I'm surprised at how bad our defense is without Zu and Greenard up front, but LSU has a legit offensive juggernaut this year. They're going to score points on everyone they play I feel, and beating them will come down to stopping them a few times and not getting stopped yourself. So some of that is our depth issues getting exposed, and some of it was just LSU being that good. I think Joe Burrow is a complete prick, but he's one helluva quarterback.

I think that, in general, our coaching staff has schemed their asses off. We lost to a more complete team in their house last night, but we made them beat us at least. And no, that isn't a moral victory, but my expectations for this season was to be competitive with the best in our conference as a sign of us returning to being the best in our conference as well. No more of this showing up in Atlanta and just getting destroyed kinda shite. Through 7 games, I feel we are meeting that expectation.

Now CDM and crew have to keep the wheels on for next week. I think getting a win up at SCar after this let down and sandwiched in between LSU and UGA is going to be a tall order, one we're capable of, but one I can see us not ultimately filling as well.

If Florida figures out recruiting...we are going to be very scary. Right now on offense Dan has

A 2 star QB behind 4 three stars on Oline with a 3/4 star back that wasn't highly touted.

Now imagine when all of those are 4 star, blue chips.

Oh boy.

I'm telling you right now, when the QB room is Carlos, Richardson and Emory Jones the team will be completely different. Recruiting comes with winning for some teams, and so if we win out the outlook is different.

I also want to say that I'm not complaining about Dan Mullen, he is a fantastic coach:

Some things did not work in this game. They were not good calls. Juggling Quarterbacks in the Red Zone is begging for disaster.

It's also a little fricked up that Trask drove us to the Red Zone just to watch another Quarterback go in several times to try and put up points that he ultimately got anyway.

3 of the 4 touchdowns in the Red Zone came from Trask passes -- just let the kid play as if he were Feleipe.

I just think Mullen is trying to generate a run game any way he can. Right now we run the ball best when teams have to think about Emory as a run threat. Does Mullen maybe get a little too cute at times, sure, but I think he called a great game. And as we know, if it works he's a genius, if not, everybody's going to question the call. That's just the way it is.

He called a wonderful game...except in those situations. I understand what he's trying to do, but I think the risk is far more than the reward. We got lucky Emory's pass was a touchdown on a freak of nature play because it could have easily been a pick (it was just lying there in the defender's hands but we were lucky Perine yanked it out) and Trask's pick can almost 100% be placed on Mullen for rotating them like that -- and maybe a little of defensive holding since Cleveland would have been wide open on a one on one.

Again, this is not anything more than saying we need to shelf that idea going forward -- we have way too many assets in the game at any time at WR not to use more outside runs (sweeps and reverses).

I don't criticize coaches much but a couple of times HBC had me scratching my head. The series he put in Jones when we had the ball on our own 25 and we went 3 and out.

Then the big one, 3rd and 1 at the LSU 10, you rush Trask back on and instead of just lining up under center and pushing for the yard, we throw the pick in the end zone. I know Coach didn't call for the pick, bad decision by Trask but just line up and get a yard even if it takes you 2 tries. This seems to be a lost art with a lot of spread teams.
