Hard to tell if this team is any good so far.
Beat the brakes off Stony Brook, didn’t look particularly great against Kennesaw St., and now we’re likely going to lose to FAU.
I realize it’s Todd Golden’s first year, but we look like we’ll be lucky to win 20 games and go .500 in conference again this year.

The offense tonight looked a lot like a Mike White offense. A ton of standing around, no ball movement.
We need someone else besides Casleton to step up and score.

It's going to be a while before Gator Basketball is back to where it should be. Unfortunately I don't think Golden was a steller hire. But I hope I'm wrong and he does well here. But the team tonight looked like a clueless Mike White team out there tonight losing to FAU is Awful!!!

If it were year 3 or 4 I would be concerned, but it is his 3rd game as head coach. Let's pump the brakes just a tad please. One of the most important things about basketball is that the team needs to gel and learn how to play together. FAU have a lot more games under their belt with the core guys playing together in the same system and they had a great game. We will learn and get better and I think we will be a tourney team come March.

As frustrating as the football season has been looks like the basketball season will be just as frustrating or worse.

Unless something changes in a big way I don’t see how they can make the tourney.
I’m starting to wonder if Stricklin is the right guy for the position he’s in. How did we go from Mike White to a guy who never even won his conference or finished in the top 3? He’s only been to the tournament once and lost in the first round. There is absolutely nothing about him on paper that makes me think “he’s the guy”. If anyone knows something I don’t, please fill me in.
In the meantime, Golden is going to have to get some good recruits that produce or he’ll be gone in a year or two. If we didn’t have Castleton back this year it would be even uglier.

This team has no ball movement on offense and everyone stops and looks when a shoot is put up instead of going for a rebound.

Are we a track school now? Nearly every sport has nosedived since Strickland took over.

Volleyball, Baseball, Softball, Track, & Gymnastics. That's about it. Men's tennis has been great but got gutted this year with kids turning pro. Golf programs are down, W Tennis used to be our best sport and is now middlin.
Even baseball has been down since 2018, but we look good on paper going into the season.
Sorry forgot swimming. If we ever suck at swimming we are just not trying.

It's pretty much Castleton and who ever else decides to show up to play.
I hate how when they throw the ball to Castleton everyone just watches him and just stares no one cuts no one drives no one runs around they just all stop. Golden was a very Bad Hire will never make the Tournament with him as our basketball coach!!!

Yeah…I’m still not sure how Golden ended up here in the first place. What is it that Scott Stricklin sees in him and why does Scott think we have to be guinea pigs?
Last time I checked we’re supposed to be at the top of the league every year competing for championships. With the way we’ve hired, you’d think we’re in the AAC trying to find a diamond in the rough. Go get a proven coach.

Stricklin did a good job getting the facilities where they need to be.
But, our two most important teams, have become below average teams in the SEC.

Stricklin needs to go. Dude is the definition of starting on 3rd base with both big2 programs and he drove both into the ground.

Losing to 8T4 is just awful they even forgot yhere jerseys and still beat florida they go 4-14 in sec play. Just a complete disaster

I still think Golden deserves time to get things going, and I will support the guy until things warrant otherwise, but we suck arse. Just no flow to this team on the floor.
