Just over a minute left in the 1st QTR thoughts:
1. Jacksonville would try and re-sod the field 3-4 days before this game…
2. Watch out for McConkey.
3. Good/lucky stop on the first defensive series to hold them to 3.
4. This game should be tied 10-10. Have to execute at the end of the second drive offensively.
5. If we want a chance to win it’s going to be a boat race.

Refs helping UGA with the spot, and Billy goes backyard football instead of silent count pushing for a yard.

Game over. This team cannot overcome bad starts and 2 fumbles and a dumbass call on 4th down on our own 30 is all I need to see.

I think he can figure it out, but he’s not getting away with it like he used to in the Sun Belt. In games like this (and the SEC in general) you have to give your guys a chance and make the other team earn it. Giving them the ball near the redzone twice didn’t help. Kirby spotting the ball for the refs doesn’t help either. Should have never been in that situation to begin with, but what else would you expect from SEC refs?
We need a real OC in a bad way. And more than likely an actual special teams coach as well. I assumed we would have all these things given Billy hired 300 people to his staff.
