You're relying on dominating Receivers to win 50/50 balls and guess what?

We're replacing almost all of them

Uhhh, throwing against teams that have to actively defend the run makes it much easier to actually throw.
Youre really chasing your tail now.

Again, Franks was a pretty decent runner but it doesn't do anything
Says the guy who made weekly breakdowns of wide open WRs he missed. That run threat mustve done something.

Jones is going to be blitzed almost every single down
Speculate much? Didn't happen this year, teams like LSU and Auburn must disagree with you on something.
quote:
because he's not that good of a passer we're going to see the exact same thing that happened to Franks.
Wow, I had no idea that one's ability to pass or not is what made them susceptible to injury.
Posted on 2/12/20 at 4:36 am to dbuchanon
Running the ball as a Quarterback exposes you to more injury than not. I mean this is just basic logic. More hits = more chances at injury.
Goddamn you're just so dumb about this. Trask hit the open receivers, Franks simply didn't. The receivers were open because of pretty decent route calling. Seeing them is important, getting them the ball is important, too.
We have no idea if Emory can do that. Trask had more passing yards in the Virginia game than Emory had all year.
frick, Trask had just as many touchdown passes as Emory had completions on the entire year.
It's unbelievable how people scraped their knees up defending Franks every chance they got and now they can't be bothered to support the best Quarterback in a decade, a dude who could have transferred but stuck around to be a Gator and beat out every single returning SEC Quarterback.
Really bizarre.

I think you are being extremely disrespectful of trasks accomplishments. I think he is much better than average. Definitely a good qb. Just not elite.
But I don’t think jones is elite either.
For me this is less about defending the actual QB and more about how I think Florida fans giving this airtime in the off season is a bad look. And listen the team will hear about it if enough of the fanbase discusses it.
It’s a divisive issue right when we don’t need one.
That’s my beef really.

Like why is there a part of our fanbase with such a hard on to create a QB controversy when there isn’t one?
We are favorites in the East next year mostly because of Trask

Not gonna accuse dbuchanon of this, but I think we all know EXACTLY why. Just go read Gator Twitter.

up vote
There is a segment of our fan base that is always complaining and questioning even the most obvious things.
They cause controversy when there doesn't need to be any.

How, by saying a guy is a good player but doesnt have the ability to run the playbook? I think thats pretty factual.

trasks accomplishments.
We didnt beat Georgia or go to ATL. What did we do that we werent expected to?

So when I say the same thing it’s disrespectful?

Uh, I never directly tweeted, booed or screamed obscenities at any of our players. But we do have ppl in this thread who have.
Posted on 2/12/20 at 2:25 pm to dbuchanon
We didn't go to ATL or Beat Georgia because we can't run. The remedy isn't having a Quarterback who won't be able to beat the other team passing, it's the same problem on a different side of a coin.
The difference is that if Trask goes down, at least we still have two Quarterbacks who can run the offense.
If Emory goes down we have one after him, and he is just as one-dimensional with Trask.
Trask's one dimension invites at least 8 different receivers to be useful, Emory is basically relying on Pierce, our terrible run blocking offensive line and who? Davis?
It's just such a bad idea.

I mean, getting 20 yards of rushing is more likely the problem than Trask passing.
I know you think you got a real zinger here but it's easily one of the dumber takes you have in this thread and boy do you have some doozies.
Trask won those games despite having no run game, which means next year even if our run game is bad we know Trask can be successful. However, he is not blocking or running so it's not fair to put the blame on him for not "elevating" his team when he is literally the only consistent part of our offense.
So if we have no run game and Emory is the Quarterback again he's going to be throwing into pass defenses, and many people wondered why Mullen didn't let him run the offense:
Likely because he's not there as a passer yet. Which is what everyone said would be the case with his recruitment.
Why not wait one more year for Emory to grow and mature while we have a for sure
secure
proven
Quarterback?
Ego made Mullen stick with Franks, ego is making you stick with this ridiculous hot take. The only guy who actually agrees with you is the guy who posted on tRant that Chip Kelly was definitely coming to Florida.
Not a good look.

Because I was right about Trask and saw how psychotic people like you are who have no logical conclusions.
Most people didn't believe me about Trask being better than Franks, insisted that I talk to Mullen because I obviously knew more and when I was right I felt vindicated and noticed that I didn't need such toxicity in my life like Twitter.

And you tweeting Franks directly with your obsession was a great look for the fanbase as well.
It was beyond cringe. I unfollowed you after 2 days. Pathetic to see a grown arse man do that to a kid over a football game.

Again, pathetic. The fact that ppl base their self worth on a football chat with ppl they don't know says a LOT about that person. Being so wrong about Mac mustve really cut you deeply for you to need that "self vindication" about a QB.
I mean, I'm not a big fan of DeLance on the OL, but Im not gonna stalk the kid on social media and attack him daily for him not playing a game at a level that I cant the way I like.

Franks blocked me after someone else gave him the @ in a conversation where I was talking about how bad of a Quarterback he was.
In all honesty, it's not my fault he stalks around on Twitter to Gatekeep, and it's one of the many reasons he will never be a successful Quarterback.
Mental midget who actually cares what regular people think about him.
And like I said, I was right, my mission was complete, I moved on from Twitter. No reason to stay around after that.
I'm sorry you make dumb shite arguments because you don't like me and it's your only reasoning, lol, but I hope that works out for you.
