Baugh is obviously and deservingly getting all of the hype but Clark has some home run play potential and is no slouch himself

Both are running good but the holes these plays have opened up are crazy compared to past years so far with this new offense. Baugh was actually kept in check in many SEC games last season which kept his average down for our SEC games because we had an idiot as our OC. That isn't happening this season so far with what we are doing on offense. These defenses are on their heels so far with this new offense. It's pretty crazy watching what is happening when the plays are broken down

I think the actual story here is the offensive line. RBs are supposed to be able to make a guy miss and take off, but our OL has legitimately been one of the best in the country so far. Its incredibly exciting that we could return 4 of 5 starters on that unit next year, not to mention QB, Dallas and VB3, and have Duke be the bell cow.
But don't hear what I'm not saying, no way am I saying our guys aren't studs, I think one is the best RB in the country and the other might be top 10-15ish. Its just that none of this happens without Traut, Rusty Whitt, and that OL coming together.

Agreed. Traut was a monster hire along with Faulkner. Even if we lose Faulkner to a HC job that's about to open up soon, we still have Traut and he can be the run game coordinator while the pass game coordinator can be either the TE coach or QB coach.
Let's see how the mock drafts shape up based on how successful this team is. If we make it to the CFP, then a lot of guys could leave depending on their draft grade.
Whitt has impressed me a whole lot. Something we've been missing for a long time. An actual strength and conditioning coach. Team doesn't look beat up or tired in the 4th and it shows.

From experience, an O-line is the difference in a productive running back and one that isn't. Some backs make things happen on their own, but the average running back needs a hole to run thru.

The only way the offense keeps this up at this level in 2027 if Buster takes a head coaching job is if Craddock has leaned a lot from Buster and can implement it good. Craddock was decent as OC under Sumrall but nothing like this though he does like to focus on the run game opening things up. Watching the breakdowns it's crazy how off balance Busters system is making the defenses now that he has the skill players we do unlike at GA Tech - which now is straight garbage on offense without him.

problem i've always had with promoting from within is the "proteges" never run it the exact same as their predecessor. everyone has to put their spin on it, and more times than not, it's for the worse.
just look at muschamp, mcelwain, and napier (saban proteges).

Well Muschamp actually had some decent defenses here once the players matured after that initial season. The guy was just stuck on his 3 yards and a cloud of dust mentality on offense though. We will just have to hope we luck out and get one more year out of Buster or that Craddock isn't a hard head. Hard to see Sumrall going with anyone else at OC if Buster leaves.

If Buster leaves, either Craddock or Mckissack becomes the OC or pass game coordinator. The one stays while the other goes with Faulkner. Agreed can't imagine an outside hire for OC unless the offense collapses.

Come on Guys, 4 games in and we are already talking about losing our OC?
Enjoy the ride, stop worrying about the light at the end of the tunnel being a train. After we win the Natty we can start worrying about which coaches leave.

I mean it's a possibility depending on which program can commit to NIL for him to consider it. I truly only see Southern Cal as a realistic possibility if they can somehow buyout Riley which will be tough. USC, FSU, and any other program would be trash.
So I think he'll be here one more year. It won't just take the Natty. Making the CFP even puts players in potential draft spots.
