Illinois was a solid win, people gave Cignetti credit for running up the score on them while they were ranked and UW also blew them out

LSU turned out to suck but OU on the road was a good win maybe not a signature win.

Brohm has many signature wins going back to his time at Purdue and blowing urban out

They also blew out Wazzou, who OM struggled to beat at home

The landscape is drastically different in the last 5 years too. NIL, prominent coaches retiring (Saban) or losing their edge (Meyer, Fisher, etc). Of all the coaches available, Lane has the best chance to do it vs every other available candidate. I think he’s figured it out since being at Ole Miss.

I understand where you are coming from

Lane
Has done something at ole miss I do not think Saban could do and that is win consistently at Ole Miss double digit wins in multiple seasons in the SEC

Fisch, Golesh, Franklin, Brohm

O chance any of these coaches could do that and sustain it at Ole Miss

Kiffin at UF would turn this program back and B.H.G. stadium back into one of the most feared places to play at and visit in the country again

We'll agree to disagree on some of those

For instance, Franklin had back to back 9 win seasons at Vandy before he left

Yes winning 9 games 2 years in a row at vandy is good

Then Franklin a some really nice years at Penn state
But him and DimWitz suffer the same problem

They have soft schedules and when they play someone good they can not get over the hump

He beat UGA once he beat LSWHO multiple times and aTm as well plus
and has done that in the SEC not the Big 10 or 12 Or pac

So Lanes resume is great
But if he says no
After last night
If Kiffin says no go lock up Lashlee before Arkansas or Auburn
But I believe Auburn is all in with Sumerall

I very, very much pray it isn't Drink....my heart probably can't take the pain of UF Football for the next 4 or 5 years until he is fired after never having a good season.

Drink to me is the worst possible candidate.

#1 He would be extremely expensive. He already makes $9 million a year. Paying him $13-15 million a year would be idiotic, especially due to the reasons below.

#2 He would not satisfy my main criteria for the next coach which is firing up the fanbase. Napier sucked all the juice out of the program. We need someone who will get the Swamp rocking, boosters donating money, and impressing recruits. Drink does not have the attitude or demeanor to do that. He would immediately piss off half the fanbase or more. He seems like a mix of Mullen and Mac, which is potentially the worst possible combination of attitudes.

#3 From an X's and O's standpoint, I am not sure how much of his success is due to Kirby Moore. Nothing seems overly impressive.

Due to this, I think he has both the lowest ceiling and lowest floor of the potential coaches. And he would be too expensive to fire quickly. A Drink regime would have the potential for kneecapping us until the 2040's.

Betting places still have Drinkwitz the favorite with Schumann moving up now. Hopefully it's not one of them.

Id be just as happy with Brohm or Fisch tbh.
Low key optimistic with Golesh
