We dodged a bullet in the 2020 class...Avantae Williams was the highest ranked safety in the country and we were in a good spot to land him. Umiamuh just dismissed him for domestic violation and he must have had other issues and his attitude with coaches must have been bitter. Fool had every opportunity to make lots of $$$. Thank God we didnt sign him and he probably had his high school coaches and team mates tell a lot of recruiters.

Caught fire tonight at FNL.
22 4* RB Terrance Gibbs.
23 4* WR Raymond Cottrell.
24 (Not Ranked Yet) RB Jerrick Gibson.
It’s a long time between now and signing day, let alone next season and the season after that, but I like the buzz heading into fall camp all the same. Mullen finally backing up the Brinks Truck. Gonna be a lot easier with NIL in play. We on the way boys!

Stewart was there with his friend Nick Evers and we have a decent chance to land the 5 * WR. Azareye Thomas 4* made the Friday Nite Lights after reports were he would be at Baton Rouge instead and its a kitten vs Gator battle. 5* Richard Young also attended.
If we can get Nolan/Steward the class will rock. We should all be thankful we have Nick Evers as a committ..he doing work on Stewart and others. A quote from Stewart is very telling...since he known Evers from 7 on 7s and became friends with him. Stewart said he doesnt know any other QBs on his short list and wont go to a school were he doesnt know the QB.
Folks should see the video clip of Evers and his mom and how good they felt about UF coaches and the education UF offers...she felt comfortable knowing Nick will be in a good place in Gainesville.

What the Frick do we need Elijah Blades for he could not get on the field at aTm with there secondary. Why would he think he could come to Florida and get on the field if he sees time in any meaningful game then we are in trouble on defense.

I don't think we're in any position to complain about bodies at defense. Whoever wants to try out, should be able to. shite, even if we have cheerleaders who want to do their best at CB let them at it.
We're gonna need as many people as we can on that side of the ball until some of these younger recruits get rotated.

FNL was important since we are now in the dead recruiting zone and inperson contact off limits. Fall practice begins in a few days and the dead period gives coaches time to concentrate on the roster they have.
This is the time when support staff earn their paychecks with emails, tweets and mail to keep UF in the eyes of our prospects.
Depth is one reason I feel better about our defense, we have a lot of secondary players now with a year already on campus...but I think Jason Marshall and Jordan Young will be key for the next several years. We need sure tacklers on the backside....way too many whiffs last year.
Rashad Torrence got a lot of snaps last year as a frosh safety but missed 3 games due to injury...that shows coaches were fed up with Stiner and had to insert a frosh backup. But I agree with Straws about more players. And even though some players may not have produce solid work at other schools, Im a believer in that a new year and new school can flip the script.
Just hope that the staff can get some players to dedicate more time in the weight room. The elite players will work their butts off because they want to make serious $$ on the next level.

Gator boosters need to step up, the Gators are being outspent by most of the rest of the SEC. Come on boys, one of you has to need a young talented spokesman for your business.

Talking of spokemen,..Zach Carter was pretty bad at the SEC annual meeting...he said "you know" a 100 times. Poor chice for a public forum..imo and Zach is a homeboy of mine from Tampa.

Starting too lose recruits would not be shock me if by signing day we do not even have a top 25 class.

2 of our top commits decommit both on the defensive side of the football way to go Mullen.
Who will be next? plus who will enter the Portal I'm sure our roster next year will look completely different book it at least 10 players enter the portal.
