So our corners coach has accepted a job with Georgia while Elam is on his official visit with Georgia. What a douche canoe Kirby is, and Warren is a friggin’ Benedict. I think this old rivalry is going to get a whole new shot of adrenaline. Hopefully the games between us are tough and clean rather that tough and dirty like they were during the Richt/Meyer years.

Just thinking that some of these 3 stars turned out pretty good.
Jeawon Taylor
David Reese
Lamical Perine
Vosean Joseph
Jachai Polite
Jabari Zuniga
And I am not trying to bag on the kid, but where oh where is Antonneous Clayton? Our top recruit in 2016.

I hear things aren’t looking good for us and Elam. Any truth to it?

So here's my take on it:
1. Kirby's had at least four instances of his regime not upholding promises to recruits/recruits being upset by how he's handled things.
Owen Pappoe: Claimed Kirby told OLB Kevin Harris that he had a committable offer, when Harris went to commit Kirby told him that it wasn't actually a committable offer. What that means is that Kirby was playing him -- basically he didn't want Kevin looking elsewhere when he could just string him along with a fake offer. This is the reason Pappoe went to Auburn.
Jadon Haselwood: Claimed that Chaney (Georgia's OC) came into his house, sat down and spent a few hours going over how he was going to use him in his offense -- only to leave in a week. He said the entire Georgia staff is fake and only tells you what you want to hear but he knows that they're lying. His family felt the exact same way.
Justin Fields: Showed discontent immediately, and while this one isn't so obvious his father making the quips earlier in the season -- you can see what happened simply by the effects around the situation. It's clear he felt like he and Kirby had a different opinion on what was promised, and with the addition of the Pappoe and Haselwood comments I think it's fairly easy to assume who's right and who's wrong here.
2. We have a major upgrade from Warren in Gray. Gray is literally an NFL DB coach who decided to come down to Florida for a second bite at the apple.
3. Gray is friends with the Elam family, which will help a lot in our favor.
We have a lot of ways to negatively recruit Georgia from: "That coach hasn't stayed in one place for more than one year" to "take a look at the wasted years in transfers from Georgia players". We also have a ton of playing time to sell. Elam and Steele will likely play every single game even as true freshmen because if we go into a Dime package, there's no one behind Wilson and Henderson outside of Dean who may even start taking snaps at safety.
Elam would have to be an absolute moron to go to Georgia.

I’ve heard confidence is high for us with Elam. Like, it’s over and he’s coming to UF kind of talk. We’ll see. I’m confident. I’ve shite talked. I feel good about him being a Gator though

It might literally be as bad or worse than Justin Fields going to Georgia.
However, Mullen definitely played Kirby like a fiddle on this one, and I think Elam has a lot more information than Fields did.

This would be awesome! I love getting kids from my home county. Especially when they are this good and a legacy.

I would be really shocked if Abe let his kid go to the used car salesman in Athens.

Kaiir Elam gonna have a special dinner guest in his house tomorrow.
A certain upgrade from his previous coach -- Torrian Gray.

The Gray hire, man. O v e r.
1. Gray is simply a better DB coach, and some have been talking about how he may take over the DC job in the future -- he's here to stay long term.
2. Our actual DC is, well, an actual D1 DC.
Grantham: 9 years of being a D1 DC, two of them being NFL.
Georgia DC: ?????????
3. Elam's family is friends with Gray, and people say that a lot of them dislike Georgia for underhanded practices...like recruiting a kid to a school two days on an in-home visit and leaving for another school to recruit him over there.
We have family ties, a better DB coach and an entrenched DC vs. No family ties, a worse DB coach and no DC. No way we should lose this one, unless Kaiir is a retard.

I like Bob but they have put him on the back burner. Luke and Thomas are asswipes and have no sources. Luke has a hand in lower our rankings
Florida freefall is real. Most of our commits are ranked below their composite rating. This has been going on for years. Other mods rise their teams commits.
Diwan Black dropped despite dominating the Polynesian Bowl practice and games.

That was ridiculous. The reason was "we should have dropped him earlier for not playing" as if that has anything to do with him as a prospect.
Bogle and Tyrique both played like arse during the All Star games and both got bumped.

Speaking of Bogle, he is on campus this weekend, any chance?

I legit feel sorry for Bob. Scout was turning into my favorite recruiting website before they merged with 247. He has got the most reliable sources at UF but they wont let him share the info. Hell I think they made him shutdown his podcast.

Mom didn't sound very enthusiastic. Certainly doesn't help that we don't have a DL coach announced.
The only way we land him is if Mom insists he stays in state and Gainesville is a compromise between Tuscaloosa and Miami. I've never felt like we were a player, kid just wants to go to Bama.

God forbid you ruin Luke's "This is why I knew we weren't being considered by recruits x, y, and z even though our articles led you to believe we were" NSD wrap-up.
