Number one: probably be someone we don't even know is on the radar.

Number two: don't expect UF to get into a bidding war with anyone. Stricklin is a tight fisted finances guy and has to watch the bottom line. Forget Taggart...only 1 yr at Oregon? Come on. USF & WKU aren't the same and its rare to see HCs move after just 1 yr but maybe Taggart realizes now that the weather sucks in Oregon.

Number three: Herman was the flavor the year in 2016 and has Texas at 4-5...his offense sucks. Maryland castrated the horns in Austin. Bottom line, there is no sure thing and we have to be careful buying that shiney new convertible and finding out when you drive to home that the top doesn't go up.....and it sucks at offense too

Same offense that Urban ran here and at OSU to win titles??

Texas is a mess, yet he has the 2nd ranked class coming in to get his players

Texas has a program problem.

They had it while Charley was there, and it stems all the way back to Mack Brown's last few years after they lost to Bama in 09 in the Title Game.

texas has no oline. hermans biggest challenge at texas will be dealing with the shitty, entitled texas culture.

Florida is unofficially communicating with potential candidates about possibly retaining particular staff members for recruiting reasons, including defensive coordinator and current interim head coach Randy Shannon.

Stricklin shot this down in his reply to a Tweet that suggested this:

quote:

David Henry? @dshuf04 4h4 hours ago GM @ScottStricklin . FYI last time an AD forced a new HC to hire certain coordinator, the coordinator was Weis & it was the end of Muschamp

Scott Stricklin?Verified account @ScottStricklin Replying to @dshuf04 I don’t know what you’re referring to, but it appears you have some bad intel.

In his PC? I remember him saying he was thankful Shannon was on staff to lead the team the rest of the year, but don't remember any comments about a future position.

Ok, i misunderstood.

Clean house then. Id keep about 2-3 coaches that we have. The rest can go. But i also trust who the next HC brings

Agreed, wouldn’t blame the coach if he wanted to clean house completely. There’s a few I wouldn’t mind staying, but wouldn’t bother me either way.

Bound to happen, and there will more than likely be others. Recruiting classes take a hit during a coaching change. We’ll be fine once the new coach takes over.

He ain't gonna get much playing time at Florida, anyway.

Cleveland is coming back, Callaway might be back (I'd advise against letting him on the team), Copeland and Toney will take up the rest of the slack. I could easily see him dropping another slot if Callaway returns.

I also think a grand slam hire could get us another similar type WR, or convince him to stay.
