Couple things reel

-Justus Reed transferred, Jordan Smith transferred

-Kelvonnis Davis was in a serious scooter crash and nearly died, probably never playing football again

-Khairi Clark has sucked. He can’t move at all.

Clark is a big body that I expect to be better. Why??? Because he will be in an actual workout program that will cut fat and make him a better athlete. Or he won’t, the choice is his. We signed some stud big bodied freshman last year that got serious PT.

I don't think we're taking Gerald now that we got Langham. Leaves an opening for another scholarship next year.

I think if we wanted Langham we could bring him into the class, but I think we may pass as well. We have a very small senior class and I think we want to sign as many next year as possible in what should be a great recruiting haul for us.

Overall this was a great transition class and lays to rest the Negagator narrative that Mullens can't or is too lazy to recruit. Good job by the coaches in building this class on short notice and Go Gators!

UF has a lot of work to do. I'm glad the blue chip ratio is moving back up again.

Biggest thing though, is that they need to find a QB.

Hopefully one emerges.

Get the special teams back on track and get the offense to produce. Offense has been a problem since 2009 and with just 5% more production the past eight years we could have had much better years.

This is what we really, really, really need. Guys like Copeland, Watkins, Grimes and Van Jefferson. Playmakers, who can give us that extra 5% when things aren't working.

What I like is that Mullen isn't afraid to get creative to get them the ball -- we saw it with Harvin.

Now, if Toney goes down, we have legitimate threats all over the field that we can lean on if need be -- oh, and an HC/OC who might actually be willing to do some otherwise unorthodox playcalling. The lack of jet-sweeps, trick plays and especially rollouts were completely inexcusable by the second game of the season when the base offense was clearly not going to work.

Skill players look good at RB and WR. TE position on paper looks OK, but we need to see better play, especially blocking.

OL I just don't know how I feel about that. The play has been so up and down. I like the talent at tackle, but not at guard. The big things are toughness and consistency. This unit needs some toughness BIG TIME. They haven't averaged more than 160 yards per game rushing since 2012. That is GARBAGE.

Honestly, none of that matters if QB play stays the same. That is Mullen's biggest job. Finding anything at QB. ANYTHING.

On Defense, I have no idea what to think. The corners seem OK, and I like Reese at MLB, but I have serious doubts about every other position on the defense.

Florida returns 11 of their top 15 tacklers (7 of top 10), so they will have experience, and they seemed to add some good players in this small class, so it probably won't be worse than last year. I hope they can find someone to play safety.

Totally agree. And it's gonna take some time before we have some SEC TE's, but at least we're getting there. RB and WR will be the best we've had since...I really don't know. Davis was burning it up and now we have Scarlett back.

This will help our OL if Jones/Trask/Franks/Anyone develops a pocket presence. Honestly, if Mullen can't fix our quarterback problem, it's over for Florida football. We just can't have another year of quarterback play, but there is absolutely no way we're going to be as bad as Franks/Nussmeier was. No way.

Just........no way.

On Defense

Corners are good, almost everyone got rotated in at safety so they have some experience and the new guys will probably come in.

The LB/DE tandem -- we brought in a lot of talent for the ends. The MLBs should be fine, and we got two more bodies to put in if we need.

Biggest concern is at DT, because we just haven't seen most of them play very much. Bryan leaving early kind of makes me cringe, but I think we'll be ''good'' next year.

I think we rotated in like four guys last year and the only one I really saw start to get better was Gardner. The last few games he really turned it up. I'd like him to go back to CB just to have more of the younger guys look it up, but fact is we need guys with experience.

Atl....Clark isn't supposed to move much...he is a nose tackle and his job is to keep OL off our LBs dude. The DEs and OLBs will move around plenty.

You gotta remember that our defense had a fricking anchor tied around its neck the last few years...its called a miserable offense....and it can make defenses look bad and add in a shitshow of special teams return game..geez. 2016 really ticks me off because Bama and UF had the best defenses in the country....period. Offense sucked the life out of them.

I think everyone will appreciate the defense next year if we can only get some offense to help them.

Looks like Gerald is probably Arkansas bound.

Kid is a coward. Waited to see who UF signed, decided he didn't want to compete. That right there tells me all I need to know about Gerald. If scared of winning the job instead of it being handed to you, then you aren't a player we need in the program.

Not jilted. Wanted him, till I heard he was delaying signing. Realized why, and don't want. Not a good look.
