Maybe Frost has already talked to him for coming to UCF.

So instead of going to UCF where Frost us HC, why would he want him at UF?

Florida is his number 2 at the moment. Maybe it will effect his decision. He may respect Frost enough as a coach but wants to play for a big boy college.

Like Finch said: He wants to play at a major establishment. As good as Frost has UCF -- we all know that eventually the talent will catch up. When they play someone who plays real, big boy defense they know that the physicality won't be there team wise.

We get big time recruits at Florida even when we're bad, we have an amazing class coming in (should it hold up) and we have an amazing atmosphere on campus with prestige to boot.

Honestly, I feel more and more positive about Frost just because most betting sites are putting him as our lead candidate.

probably tom herman. had chuckster beat fricking kansas, he would still be at texas and herman would be at lsu. no way herman was going to pick lsu over texas.

And I can't see Frost picking Nebraska over Florida -- no matter what his ties are over there. I mean, I guess I could but to uproot his wife with a newborn and travel across the country to a place with pisspoor recruiting and about the same circumstances with their team being broken -- I just don't see it happening.

A lot of people say that Nebraska has the money to match Florida, but somehow I severely doubt it: Especially since he has a chance to make the East every year (should he do well enough) and get the bonus for doing so.

warren buffet is a huge unl athletic donor. they can pay w/e anyone else does.

obviously there's a hc market and we would match w/e nebby offered.

money won't matter in frost's decision, it'll be the same where ever he ends up.

That's what I figured as well -- we'll match just about anyone. I think Florida offers a lot more for long term, even as bad as we look we still have star talent all over Florida and if he can make his offense look the way it does with a 3 star quarterback, well he shouldn't have much trouble doing it at Florida.

Gonna be a tough choice, though, I know he has family in Nebraska. Hopefully his wife doesn't like the inlaws.

Tom using LSU to make Texas piss or get off the pot with Strong isnt the same thing as this. Texas is Texas, a possible giant where the states top recruits are lined up at your door and it only takes a good HC to build them back up to a championship level.
Nebraska doesnt have that anymore, recruiting there is a hard sell no matter who the coach is.
So Frost can come to UF and possibly build a championship team like Urban Meyer or he can go family values at Nebraska and expect 3-4 losses a season ala Dan Mullen.

All of this. He could come in and literally just throw darts at a board and get 4 stars. Especially with his offense that utilizes so many different players. The ground is extremely fertile in Florida, and fortunately for us he actually lives here right now so he knows just how much talent there is.

Nebraska has so much competition for recruiting, and to say -- Texas has like 5 premier programs all vying whereas Florida maybe has 1? Miami is the only Florida team in a big conference that is successful right now. He could easily Viking the frick out of FSU recruits.

I like our chances, though.

certainly possible, but no way herman would've turned lsu down had the texas job not been open. probably more blue chips per capita in louisiana than any other state. we could stand to get in on some louisiana talent. per capita, texas really isn't all that. it isn't like florida. texas is big, florida is big and saturated with talent.

as far as nebraska, i can see where a good coach could make them look good every year because they're in the weakest p5 division in football, but yeah, pretty tough to be a powerhouse at nebraska in the information age.

He met his wife at Texas i believe so yeah he used LSU to force Texas to make a decision.. had they kept Strong he’d be at LSU.

Dont look now but Texas has the 2nd ranked class last i checked. So Tom could have his cake and eat it too, cant do that at Nebraska

1. Florida Two candidates have emerged from the pack: UCF head coach Scott Frost and Oregon head coach Willie Taggart. Frost is repped by Trace Armstrong, a former Florida player and Gainesville resident. Taggart is a client of prominent agent Jimmy Sexton. Oregon’s recent three-game skid hasn’t seemed to hurt Taggart’s buzz, likely because decision makers aren’t focused on a Year 1 rebuild involving multiple key injuries. Florida is unofficially communicating with potential candidates about possibly retaining particular staff members for recruiting reasons, including defensive coordinator and current interim head coach Randy Shannon.

Taggart's coached in Florida, so I choose that as well. Aside from Norvell's unexciting presence: I just don't think we would be able to run his offense within a year. He would have major roadblocks that Frost nor Taggart would be faced with.

I watched some Oregon games recently, i like the scheme they run. Add that with Taggart taking over the fkn state of Florida recruiting and ill say he could do very well here.

After Frost says no ofcourse
