Cherry pick much?
Michigan had the Fab 5 but a more experienced led Duke team took them out.
If athletic talent was all you needed Duke and Kentucky would be playing for the title every year.

Indeed, every time you watch UT play this year they talk about how many games their starters have played together.

Cherry pick much? I picked 3 of the last 4 national title winners. (I could go a little further back too in this era, not the 90s)
The game in the 90s is nowhere near what it is today.
Didn’t say anything about athletic I said NBA ready talent.
In this era of basketball

And I don’t think it will amount to much.
They’ll make the sweet 16 at best.
I don’t see one surefire lottery pick on that team.
And their schedule hasn’t bee exactly that great especially if we are top 5 in the conference right now

How many players from Kentucky and Duke have gone pro in the last 4 years? How many championships does both teams have in the last 4 years. Takes more than NBA talent.

why is it just Duke and Kentucky?
Look at the players Nova has had gone pro in the last 4 years.
they have 2 in the last 3.
Duke had one in the last 4.
The other team is UNC (who had Justin Jackson and Frosh Tony Bradley go pro and first round pick after a year, and lead in the tourney by Sophmore Luke Maye)
of the last 4 national title winners 3 were filled with Freshman and Sophomore NBA Lottery picks/ 4 and 5 star players.
Of course it "takes more" than NBA talent, because then LSU would have won it years ago with Ben Simmons.
But you ain't going far without NBA talent.
Atleast every last national champ has had multiple players that are now playing in the NBA.
We made a run in the final four... we got hot at the right time, but we didnt win the title. We weren't the 4th best team in the nation that year, and when our heat cooled off we got beat by a better team (who also had multiple NBA talents, and another guy Hachimura who will be a lottery pick)

I would also add you see this in March every year. Athletic players vs. Basketball players. Usually, in the ncaat teams(larger schools/athletic players/teams) get exposed against some of the smaller(lesser known) more fundamental teams.

The final four the last 4-5 years is always 3 top seeds with NBA talent and one team that’s like a 7 or higher that got hot and made a run.
(Us, Loyola-Chicago, Cuse etc)

The Arkansas fan is correct. Statistics show that experience wins out over time.

so you think Tennessee wins the title?
I'm not saying experience doesn't win, I'm saying talent does too.
I don't think Tennessee has much NBA talent and that's why they'll get beat.

You need talent, experience ( at the guard position is best) and some luck to get to the final four.

This isn't just about the final four this is about winning it all.
I don't think Tennessee has the talent to get there, and being that they are the #1 and #1 seed most likely, they ain't going to creep up on anyone like we did as a #7

We made 16 threes
See what happens when we start actually making 3s and shooting better?

Tennessee is a Final Four team based on talent and experience, but man Rick Barnes has a record of choking in the tourney.

They aren’t that talented and got smoked by a team with more talent
