If that’s why someone quits being a fan over a bad year , that’s sad. USC fans talk about sitting through 1-21 proudly only to now walk away because we had a bad year. In fact I have issues believing that’s even true. Champ hasn’t been as bad as many USC coaches

Everybody from UGA, LSU, Clemson & SC feels like they have a legit shot at signing him 2mr. Which is amazing his family has been able to keep things so hush in this day in age. All of the insiders don't really have a firm prediction.
My guess is he shocks the nation & picks us.

Our insiders are split with him. Tony Morrell things we get him, JC Schurburt is reluctant. I think no one really knows at the moment where Burch signs tomorrow.

Lonnie - what is your understanding? I recall Rooster ready to throw in the towel after the UNC loss, then I think the Mizzou loss was the end for him. Although he said he was just tired of using so much time, energy and money on the Gamecocks and it was time to pull away, a fan as invested as he was does not suddenly drop his interest and support if the football team is winning.
And regarding the other post about me saying Muschamp has “been so bad”, it is not arguable that we are at a similar level right now as Brad Scott’s last years....and that was bad. We were only better than 2 of the FBS teams we played this year. Yes we beat UGA, but we were not the better team that day. Statistically UGA dominated and our offense never got in the red zone. That was a fluke win. I would also add that UK had no qb when we played them and had UK decided to play their WR at qb earlier in the game (as they did the rest of the year) that game would have been a loss as well. Throw in the fact we got blown out by two bad teams (Mizzou and UT), one of which was so bad the coach got fired, and the fact we lost at home to App State being coached by a first year HC.......yes, Muschamp has been bad enough to run off the likes of long time fans like SCRooster.

App state is a legit team. They are better than all but 20 or so teams. You can’t for certain say UK beats us, we won 24-7. If we are going down that road, we can say this or that about some of our losses.
We are not as bad as the last days of holtz, Spurrier, or Scott. Will Muschamps team are similar to Frank Martin in that, the box score might not say we were the better team. This year we didn’t necessarily get those wins, but even we win we won’t be blowing teams out. Our defense and offense will be much improved next year .
As far as Burch, he can help us day 1 with that, and I’m sure Champ is explaining to him who we have coming back in the secondary and the improvements a guy like Kinlaw made as a player. If Champ is running you off now, then I have issues believing you stuck around as a fan in the 90’s , and early 2000’s.

Ultimate - I hope you’re right about the future.
To your other comments, if you want to excuse away a loss at home to App State that is your prerogative.....and, I remember attending games the last year of Scott and there would be dozens of untorn/unused tickets on the ground at the gate entry.......so no, I didn’t get “run off” then.

Burch might redshirt. As a player I'm not huge on him. I want him for the hype/ranking/momentum of getting the "2nd best player." A lot of ppl in recruiting I've talked to have also said Huntley was by far the best player on that defense last year. More excited about him.

Boogie is a big boy that can move. His other sport is Lacrosse. Huge upside.
