He is being recruited as an ath, will likely play wr longterm but can play db in a pinch...bedfird sticks with Indiana, this opens a spot for another DB or LB in Feb.

Looks like sheffield will in fact sign today. Staff screwed up pushing his OV back to January, after scheduled to have it this past weekend.

Crazy how much this early signing period affects things. We need to put the full court press on the best four prospects who show interest in us and close strong.

Just like this past season our expectations were higher than reality. We have some solid high quality guys but mixed in with way to many failures damper spirits. The fact is, against teams we play every year, 6 finished ahead of us. Can't win championships when half the teams you play are out recruiting you.

Steel is still out there and we're not finished yet but at any rate, you can have this SOSFAN. Agree with you here. Chris Clark said the same thing about Dixon. The only thing that slowed his recruitment down was he tore a patellar tendon playing basketball his junior year in HS.
I think some are upset because SC did not have a class ranked higher by recruiting services. Stars are nice, but if these services were so great at evaluating players, they would be better off making millions of dollars coaching.

You're correct and I see he was ranked higher than Hill on rivals. We have a great group of youngsters in the secondary we just need to build quality depth. We need at least 1 if not 2 more quality db ( safety position) signed in feb.

We had a good solid group in most areas but hard to say we improved across the board. DL, OL and qb was fantastic. Linebacker was not where it should be. Secondary needs another quality player or 2 and running back , while Harris may have good measurables I wonder about his vision. Imo we didnt upgrade at rb.

Perfect example is fsu. Go back and look at their recruiting rankings for the last 5 years and compare it to their records.

I agree with you at running back and while numbers wise we could do with more Lbs and DBs I still maintain the quality that we got was still better than what's presently on the team

Boykins has promise but I'm not ready to say he us better than BAW and I think Cam , talent wise, is on Horn's level but i wouldn't say the 2 guys we got are better than the players we already have. We have some really good talent in the secondary it's just really young.
