do we keep his Dad after Bentley graduates?

I have a feeling he'll leave on his own. I thought he was this really cool, chill guy to begin with but the stories I've heard about him since then make him sound like a temperamental bitch that shows his arse if he doesn't get his way. I could be completely off base there, though.

I actually thought is was funny that he was supposedly brought on staff because of his recruiting connections in South Carolina when anyone could have told you Bentley was hated here in this state.

Personally, I like Bobby from the interactions I’ve had with him from his Byrnes days and now. Always approachable and very nice, but I could see him moving on, albeit somewhere fairly local. Could see him coaching at a smaller school in SC or even going back to the high school game. His wife was very happy when they moved back to SC, so I think that’s a big deal for him to keep things around here. I could be completely wrong, but that’s just how I see it with him.

Bobby is fairly well respected by HS coaches in the state.

He's hated by Presbyterian fans because he did some wacky things up there the short time he was there.

One of the things I heard Sunday was that he discouraged with the play calling and that the two big plays to Markaway were calls he insisted-on out of frustration at the time, begging for BMac to make some adjustments.

Now, with that said it could be that he is about to be incorporated into the play calling process from here on out .... at least that's what I am hearing.

He has always had a really good offensive mind.

The question is just how much input did Muschamp have in calling those plays Saturday because it was a shite show.

One more question I had about Saturday.

Why in the world was the "no fumble" before NC's TD not called? Seemed pretty clear to me at the time. That was a game changing no call.

Jake IS NOT a good QB
he's never handled zone looks with any ease - at all. it doesn't appear he ever will.

man coverage isn't always his friend either. I'm still amazed he didn't get Edwards badly hurt on the late, high throw/slant in man coverage on 2&6 after Kinlaw blocked the FG.

if that ball is in Edwards' chest as soon as he turns in/cuts - there's a good chance BE blows by the Safety who clocked him - for a big gain/TD. typical Jake - bad timing with even worse placement on easy passes.

as ineffective as Bentley was on Saturday - that putrid tackling effort by the entire defense along with our 2 egotistical self-proclaimed all SEC CBs who couldn't cover a bed with a blanket was an abomination to the game of football.

overall, Muschamp is what I expected him to be when he was hired - a highly organized control freak who understands football, but has difficulty effectively coaching it during games. the way the hiring process went byeond Smart and possibly Herman, he was a 'safe' hire who could restore talent levels that were dire.

I wanted Bill Clark back then - and still want him now. he's light years better than WM as a football coach.

I said the exact same thing when it happened and I remarked that WRs get tired of that crap after awhile.

You could almost see the look on Edwards' face. He wasn't happy about it at all.

I still think the players, especially receivers, had lost faith in Bentley. It shows in effort, execution, it shows everywhere on both sides of the ball. Jake has nearly gotten Edwards beheaded several times because of poorly timed and placed throws. Maybe I'm wrong, but I believe that is a big part of the regression in Edwards the last two seasons. Jake also locks on to his hot route and stares it down. He's missed many open opportunities due to not scanning the entire field. I think his biggest issue is handling the pressure of games, but he also doesn't have good vision of the field.

I still don't have complete confidence in BMac to make in game adjustments calling plays either. He wasn't terrible last year, but he wasn't great. If Muschamp indeed meddles and that is why the mind blowing changes happen mid-game, he needs to stop immediately and let his coordinators do the job he hired them to do.

I've said it for years now, when Byrnes beat us for state in 2005, Bobby was a complete douche to us after the game, made snide comments to dbs cause we couldn't cover a play every 11 seconds. I fricking hate Bobby.
