Gotta say, it was highly enjoyable watching that Venables secondary get absolutely prison raped. Clemson even had time to display that world renowned "class" we all have to hear so much about with that rib breaking Goldberg speer. We even got some Dabo irony ( rating Ohio State like he did like a bitch). All leading up to one key fact.....
#Clemsoning is back !

Unfortunately, it will likely be a generation before we beat Clemson again.

Still both fired from better jobs for not winning.
Easier places to win more talent and they still got fired for losing.

Herman bailed on coming here after the Citadel loss. Do you really want someone to come here when it’s clear they were scared of the effort they’d have to put in to rebuild the program?

I also think Herman would have left after 2-3 years anyway

I wish I could annunciate these words like a deaf/mute while mimicking sign language to you.
Both were fired from places with way to high of expectations, where boosters have knee jerk reactions.
fricking Tom fricking Herman was fricking Fired from fricking Texas where he fricking had his fricking team playing for a fricking Big 12 fricking Title every fricking Season. Look at his fricking record you fricking idiot. Its right fricking there in black and fricking white, he had better records at fricking texas than any fricking coach in our fricking history. Except fricking steve fricking spurrier. It was his first fricking stop as a major fricking coach. if you think thats a bad fricking job, I can guarantee you that you fricking suck at your fricking job. You're fricking argument that they're fricking losers, holds no fricking water.

I honestly don't believe thats why he chose what he chose. We picked a bad time to be in the market for a HC. He knew the money and advantages would be thrown at him there. And he had just as much of a rebuild to be done.

I honestly don't care, we'd be better off in every category. And thats all I care about than we would be right now.

South Carolina, in fact, first targeted Houston’s Tom Herman and was so far down the road toward an agreement, according to two people familiar with the process, that the school’s administration had essentially shut its search process down.
Those same people, who spoke to USA TODAY Sports on the condition of anonymity, said Herman’s mind changed after South Carolina lost to The Citadel on Nov. 21 and it became clear the next coach would have a massive rebuilding job on his hands. Herman decided to stay at Houston for a deal worth nearly $3 million per year and, presumably, wait for a more high-profile situation.
I mean I guess it’s possible those sources are lying.
