thank you!

Muschamp is going to play the kids that are cleared, especially if they want to play. example of when he doesnt play a kid who is cleared is Bryan Edwards. Kid didnt feel healthy enough, so he respected that and didnt play him.

TBS said he has an issue with his meniscus. No ACL injury. Didn't play on a torn ACL at any point this season. Other than the meniscus he has a CLEAN bill of health.

This is what I suspected.

Torn ACL's don't recover in 4-6 weeks. My guess is, based on this info is that it's a torn meniscus and strained ACL.

A meniscus, while painful as all get out, can't really get any worse by playing on it.

So what about the Tommy John reports?

I don't believe a fricking word about the severity of injuries the University or Muschamp claim anymore. It's always much, much worse

Exactly. If Muschamp is allowing this out then Ryan probably had his leg snd arm detached and put back on.

So who would want their child to play injured?

Hilinski suffered tears in both acl and meniscus.

According to the link I provided above you're incorrect.

Everyone knows Muschamp doesn't tell the truth when it comes to injuries. So we let our TF QB play with 2 or more injuries since Georgia. I would never allow my kid to play for Muschamp nor Dabo.

4-6 weeks for an ACL year doesn’t seem right though

Will Muschamp-Ryan has a knee. He is fine. Doctors are just gonna clean it up. next question.

The article does specifically say that sources confirmed an acl tear but usc has contacted abc to set it straight that it was only a miniscus tear. Thats why its 4-6 weeks on recovery. that is in line with miniscus.

The part that is perplexing is that mri tests werent run until after the season was over.

how can you clear a guy if you havent had the pictures of the knee in the first place? Thats on the medical staff! How do you tell a coach his qb is good to play without proper photos. that seems egregious.

of course that info was also provided by the "Source"..Someone needs to ask if an mri was performed during the season to confirm it was only a miniscus. If not the whole medical clearance system is a farce.

The article sosfan posted says in there that rh looked into tommy john surgery but elected to just have the surgery on his knee.

so yes, that 100 percent confirms he definitely had an elbow injury. And that the injury was bad enough to consider tj.

Hopefully that doesnt come back to bite him later. I mean i get it..who wants tj surgery and knee surgery in the same off season.

its very clear he was not the same qb after the alabama game when it came to his throwing. poor chap.

this issue here is obviously the original story. the reporter used a source for all this info.

the source was obviously wrong. I dont expect to see the reporter back down. its his job to protect sources and get a scoop.

the key is not to be reactionary to an article like this until its confirmed. these dumbass reporters have cracked up sources sometimes who have half of the information.

what i got out of the article was that
1. hilinski definitely has an elbow issue.
2. hilinski definitely has a miniscus issue
3. the reporters source was wrong
4. not quite sure if usc knew for sure rh was cleared

There are manual manipulation tests that can measure knee deflection and range of motion. I had a baseline one every year before ski season when I taught. I'm sure they do the same with the football team. It sets a rehab goal if there is an in season injury.

answers that..i really dont see that carolina did anything wrong at all. these coaches are beholden to the medical staffs at this point.

its easy to say "give him a shot"..looks like rh has also been given the option to decide for himself about elbow surgery and has elected to go just with the knee.

on a personal level..i was new here when the elbow thing came out and i caught hell for saying he tore an elbow. but its now apparent that he actually did damage to it. i am very careful with throwing that stuff out unless i know where its coming from.

Gillespie is catching some heat, and rightfully so. He’s usually accurate, so I wonder who his source was. When it broke this afternoon, I was in a seminar at the Alumni Center, and my phone started blowing up. Hate it for Gillespie, because people will be skeptical of everything he says.

Glad Dr. Guy cleared some things up from a medical standpoint, too.

Yep he had my back..on a more serious note..hilinski does still have an elbow issue. You don't explore tommy John unless there is a severe ucl strain or a tear.

Ryan was the one who chose to just do the knee. Lets all hope that a month or so of not throwing will be all it takes to heal.

The last full game Ryan was 100 percent was Alabama and we saw some great throws..the healthy Ryan gives me hope for 2020.
