Looking forward to watching IBG Reviews on Youtube. When is the first installment?
ETA: There is a hole in the wall restaurant called "Sarah&Geos" in Ridgeway. Probably the best Pizza I have had in the midlands. Great Stromboli also! Large pizza is 18" and got 2 toppings for less than $20 bucks.

PSH what Am I a Gen z?

Why is everyone separating generations here recently? Just like separating the human race into colors all you do is make each sub-group think they are better than the others.
Now I will admit my generation (the one after boomers I think) is better than the younger generations.

I'm Generation X. I missed being a Boomer by 1 year.
Guess that makes me a X-Man.

Xavier it is. I did go against Xavier McDaniel (X-Man) in high school basketball. He absolutely made us look stupid.

He has done alot for Columbia. He took, arguably, the worst drug street in Columbia and enfused money and it is 1000 times better.

I wouldn't say it conforms to "middle class taste" but the chances of you getting shot driving down Read street have been greatly lowered.

If anyone is close to Blythewood they should try DOKO Smoke.
Great Bar-b-que!!!
Do not try Mcnulty's Taproom in Blythewood. Worst food I've had in a long time and I had for free... didn't make it any better.

I've heard good things but haven't tried it yet. Most of the restaurants that have occupied this space were good, but didn't last for whatever reason.

I agree they have very good food, and can say the owners a great people.

I know the first chef that worked there and created the menu. Him and the owner had a falling out and not sure if the menu changed as a result, but either way I hear it's a shite hole with lipstick.

House sitting for the FIL near Bucksport, SC. Going to Hemingway tomorrow to get the best BBQ in South Carolina.

I put a 3lb chuck roast on the smoker, treated it like a brisket, left it in the crutch until it cooled, and then tossed it in the fridge, still wrapped, for a few hours to re-solidify. After that, I took it out, trimmed the excess fat, and chopped it all into little bite sized chunks before making chili with it.

bone in ribeye steaks on the grill from the butcher. i rarely get steak anymore because i know how to make them about perfect.
get a damn thick cut of steak and pat it dry and oil it..put a generous amount of salt and pepper on all sidesabout 10 min before you grill. wait till the grill gets to 575 degrees and put that sucker on.
after about 5 min do a quarter turn then 5 more min flip..
almost forgot..oil and salt a giant baked potato and put it in the oven directly on the rack at 450 degrees and cook that for 1 hr...turning at the 30 min mark..
you will smile the whole time you are eating.
