I'm not really used to have dramatic signing days as a USC fan.

I wish I could say the same lol..Mark Richt was the 42 year old Bride that got left at the alter many painful times on signing day.

With Kirby, its unreal as 99% of our class is locked up with only a few spots to fill tomorrow, all of which will not make or break our class...its refreshing for sure.

There hasn't really been anything that has "come out" it is mostly just guys who report on recruiting doing what they do. Talking to those close to the situation and getting a feel for what is going on. I will say that an article I read that claimed he is leaning our way also said that he's kind of an impressionable guy and changes his mind a lot. This could def be a "who talked to him last?" type situation.

Its crazy to see how many UF fans think they are in it for Wyatt but only one guy who covers them is willing to put reputation on the line for the flip. That same guy has also only put Crystal balls in for UF, literally no other team.

For some reason, some UF writers (at least one) were hinting that UF not taking the Gaddy twins was a good thing. If you connected the dots, it was Wyatt or a JUCO DT. UF did get the last OV for Wyatt. Last visit high combined with a click bait article and there you go. Hype for nothing

Really wanted this guy. Having Kobe Smith, Kier Thomas, and Stephon Taylor from last year and adding MJ Webb, Javon Kinlaw and Devonte Wyatt this year would have had our DL interior getting to where it needs to be. We are still in better shape than last year obviously but this one sucks.

At least he gave our staff a heads up instead of dragging it out until the last possible minute.

Yeah, as I typed on the previous page about Wyatt being up in the air and 50-50 ... I never got where all the pundits were claiming he was a lean to the Gamecocks when our coaches (according to my sources) were saying they didn't have a clue about which way that kid was going to go.

Honestly, given what I knew was going-on with that kid since the day he flipped to UGA I was amazed we stayed on him as closely as we did and made a race out of it to the very end.

I'd still love to see him flip on signing day, but it would take a miracle. Our coaches put the hard sell on him and the best they got was 50-50. I don't think that's ever been a good sign when you are going against a home state program who is on a roll with a recruiting class and you've got Beal recruiting for you like Beal is for Georgia.

It does suck ... no doubt about it.

UGA was very fortunate this year with their instate class of DLinemen. I mean they have to be signing 85% of their class out of the state of Georgia this year with some PA, a NY and maybe a FL guy or two thrown in ... but their instate class this year is just phenomenal and Kirby is outta the Saban School of keep'em home ... which is how Muschamp does it too.

Look at it this way.

Next year is our year instate plus we'll have openings to give the schollies come next year. The position will not be completely slam full.

If he can consistently sign 12-15 of the top 20 players in the state then he'll be doing a much better job than Richt did. 2018 will be interesting because it's a down year for talent in the state so we're focusing more in Florida and NC than I think Kirby would care to. SC, on the other hand, looks to have one of it's best classes in recent memory for 2018; hope y'all can give Clempson hell on the recruiting trail.

The state of South Carolina has some seriously talent in 2018. Once the newness of Clemsons title begins to fade, things are going to get interesting.

This isn't the same SCAR recruiting that we were accustomed to with Spurrier. We recognize the impact Champ is having so I'm extremely relieved Wyatt is sticking with UGA. You guys have Jamyest so that is a big win.

He's one of the ones I heard got hammered by some fake alt fans on social media ... it was evidently not pretty.
