When does everyone think we get back to some sort of normalcy? In SC? In the US as a whole?

Possibly late may, early June if everyone does what they’re saying to do. If not it could be a long while

By this do you mean no sports as well?
Do you expect us to have a football season ? That’s really all that matters

I don't get how things are going to magically get better in 2 months.

I was being kind of doom and gloom. So it was a bit tongue in cheek.

On the flip side, I don't think that things will every "be back to normal" for a while. I think this is a long term game changer.

I mean, we'll be back to doing "normal" things in a relatively short time, but our consciousness will forever be changed.

To put it in perspective, if the numbers the government put out yesterday come to pass, this could Kill more people in the next few months than we lost in WWI, Vietnam and Korea combined. I think that sort of event in that time span leaves a lasting impression on society as a whole.

I agree with this.... I’m hopeful that we will return to normal.

I’m just glad this stuff is teaching people to wash their damn hands and keep clean.

Don’t forget allergy season! Can’t even sneeze with all the pollen before people are freaking out and running away screaming.

One thing i gotta say though is i really haven’t seen much of a change in my day to day
So it’s been pretty “normal” for me, besides being able to get a haircut

Well allergies aren’t contagious diseases

Let me rephrase... resume normal activities. Going to the beach? Sporting events? Dinner in restaurants?

Also, what numbers are you referring to? The ones I saw yesterday said 100k-200k, but I am guessing the ones you saw are much higher given the comparison you made.

This whole thing is just crazy to me due to the uncertainty of it all. Right now, it is like an avalanche. With everything being cancelled, even stuff 90 days out, I just have no expectation anymore, and nothing shocks me. I just keep waiting on football to be cancelled.

Just checked his numbers, 116k in ww1, 58k in Vietnam, 32k in Korea. About 200k. And those are just the numbers the orange man felt comfortable releasing. Those don't include hospitalizations either, which are looking like 5-10 times as many deaths. People are vastly overestimating our healthcare system as well. Our system has been widdled down to efficient daily operations, with very little cushion for an even like this. Same could likely be said for the majority of the US supply chain.

We are around 10k so far in what a month?
H1N1 had around that after a year.
Would be surprised if we get that after a year

Doesn't work like that, unfortunately. Otherwise most healthcare workers would never catch anything bc we are constantly bombarded with various viruses and bacteria.
