I’ve been completely fine.
My desk is 1/3 full and I’ll be going on next week since we can’t never have the desk completely empty.

Gotta give it to the people of NY. I’ve only lived here for 5 years and have had nothing but an amazing experience being here, everyone has always been extremely neighborly and friendly even before this
But now it’s just something different. Entire community is coming together, working together to kick this viruses arse, and it’s been a really uplifting sight. The new rules in place everyone’s been listening (keeping their distance if they did have to go outside etc) small businesses are hurting and the amount of charities I’ve seen pop up and donations made has been amazing. The other day I saw a bar raise 5k in the span of a few hours. I would be a lot more scared if was older or head health issues but I can’t complain. My work is still moving and has been pretty busy. Work from home is a first though, it’s okay but I miss the bro/frat house culture of the floor

I fricking love my new home.

I know I still have family in white plains and up in the Bronx where I was born and they’re telling me it’s getting extremely worrisome for them. Jersey doesn’t seem to be getting it too bad compared to in the city, but I’m glad to hear it from ya man. Are you in Manhattan?

Yeah this didn't happen. Working from home regular hours indefinitely.

Just wondering what are they telling you?

Yes I am.
I really haven’t had much to worry about, maybe I’m just an idiot and looking at this wrong
I am worried no sports, and the market is “back” but everything seems to be operating. People just aren’t doing anything unless they have to. Literally everything is an essential business except barbershops and stores that you’d buy clothes.

I feel like people think the zombie apocalypse is going on up here
It isn’t

Well maybe it is in Louisiana, those guys are fricked

Well the city of Columbia now has a mandatory stay at home order due to people gathering and partying in the city parks. Honestly this is one order that can stay in place.

What does that entitle?
I feel like people think it’s a lot stricter than it actually is

Frankly it's a joke. The list of " Essential" business is pretty large. Two of my friends own a car detailing service, located in the city limits, and they plan on being open as they think cleaning a car keeps the virus out of the car. Plus you can always say you had to run out for supplies if stopped.

Here is a link that shows the rule. Frankly they could have saved space by just putting who had to close.

Yea that’s the same here
But people are listening and it’s really not that busy
It’s been quiet (albeit my neighborhood always is) in the louder areas.
Working from home does have some getting used to. Not as many monitors as the office and I can just wear sweatpants and a t shirt

The older crowd is abiding by the rules but the younger crowd is using this as a reason to party, which led to the shutdown. I love the no traffic on the interstate coming and leaving work. I'm just looking for a loophole that say our work is essential.

I thought you were HVAC, seems that'd be essential.

All of our plants are still running, but they're severely restricted as far as who can come in. Any office employee who can still get their job done has been ordered to work from home. I like the wfh thing too, no walk up distractions and I've been wearing sweats and a tee shirt every day.

I am but it's not on the list plus I left the retail end about 4 months ago and now help run a wholesale company that sales mini split heat pumps and accessories for them. It is amazing the low prices we sale these for and did I mention that all come from Wuhan, China LOL.

Thats actually what I've been watching. These people are fricked up and you know damn well that Florida bitch knocked her old husband off. I have been to the one in Myrtle Beach. A friend of mine , here in Gilbert, grandad raises big cats.. lions, tigers and has a black panther (which I want). He says they are fun to play with until they are 6 months old but then get to strong and can kill you by just playing.
