Hilinski is coming along nicely. Good game management and no mistakes. If he improves enough I think y'all can take aTm and end up 6-5 and a bowl.
Sorry, but that will be enough to keep Muschamp another two years.

I still think we somehow beat Florida. With our fricking luck we magically win out and Muschamp gets a lifetime extension.

ETA: You know shite has gotten bad when you seriously have to give the "do I want us to win or do I want us to lose" question serious thought because the desire to get rid of Muschamp is that great,

If we win out, he would deserve it.

A couple of Florida fans I know were actually pulling for Georgia to beat Florida in 2014, just to make sure Muschamp got fired. The Gators beat us, but he got fired anyway.

South Carolina beating Florida is what got Muschamp fired.

Ironic.

Muschamp is safe for another two years regardless. I hope we won't even be having this discussion in two years...but...

I truly believe we will beat UF and aTm this year which would probably give CWM another 4-5 years here.

I do think it will happen because of our "luck" not because of our ability to win big games.

Guys we had the best years we're going to have in a long time under Spurrier and only won one division title out of it. We should just enjoy if a coach can consistently get us to a bowl game at this point. So for that, I do hope we can get to a 7 win season. Definite losses on the schedule at this point are Georgia and Clemson. It'd be nice to beat the rest, I don't care what impact that has on Muschamp staying. We are who we are.

I'm not saying we can't get someone better than Muschamp, but what I am saying is our ceiling is probably going to be 7-8 wins a year when we get 'the right guy.'

How is 7-8 games not our ceiling under Muschamp?

Why set the bar like that? If we accept mediocrity then we can't bitch when thats all we get. I expect 9-10 win seasons.

I'd love to hear the logic behind this idea that we won 11 games three straight years under Spurrier, proving that the "right guy" can get it done here, but that moving forward, with the "right guy" the ceiling is 7-8 wins a year.

Didn't our team win 9 games in 2017? Wouldn't that automatically move the ceiling up to 9? I think it's already been proven that this school can produce a team that can get 8-10 wins a season, with a mix occasional up/down seasons. Success can happen here. Our ceiling should be National Championship.

Technically speaking, isn’t everyone’s (P5) ceiling a national championship?

I don't see clemsin as a definite loss. I've even got a bet with a cheesiepoof fan that's a friend. Carolina and 24 points. That was before they played unc though haha
