Black uni's for Tennessee?

I personally like the black uni's never understood why we didn't wear them more

Those look awesome, but I would rather stick with white helmets.

Love this! I actually like the black helmets as well. I also think chrome helmets similar to what Kentucky wore last week along with the all black unis pictured would be pretty sweet.

Yep, that was the Wounded Warrior game that we were supposed to wear custom jerseys, but had to replace them because they were too dark for the television broadcasters to see the jersey numbers from above in the press booth. We still wore the custom helmets, pants and shoes, however. But I guess even the 2011 game the black jerseys weren't part of the program initially...

Spurrier thinks/feels that the QB can't see his receivers as well (particularly at night) when they wear all black.

But he's also superstitious about wearing a uniform combination that we've already lost in (all the ones we already have).

So in this case superstition overruled his thoughts about the receivers...

I wish UT couldn't see their WRs when they wore black against us in 2009.

CNB....the white helmet you have in the first photo actually has a single wide garnet stripe and 2 outer smaller black stripes. it looks much cleaner and better than the current helmet Carolina wears with the 1 black 2 garnet outer stripes.

would love to see USC make this slight adjustment to the current helmet and stick with it.
