Whittle said G League is not an option. Didn't say why.

Coach I talked to agreed but it's slightly on the table...mamma wants him to stay in cola and his nil deals equal what he'd make in the g league

Think rattlers free shite when he got herd and think bigger

Mike. His NIL deals here will GREATLY exceed what he would make in the G League. He would have maxed out at $125k in the G League. What we have put together is considerably more than that.

Is this one of those situations that the longer it drags on the less likely it happens.

I just cant think of a good reason to stay committed if he is 90%+ decommitting. Is it the reclassification possibility?

I actually think it's a done deal but they are working out all the details.

I thought about that post last night after I saw the news he decommitted. Its certainly still a really weird situation going on, but I fully believe now. I have no clue what went on behind the scenes, but surely NIL stuff and Carey Rich

Well the NBA rookie contracts that start in 2024 will be more restricted and less money so that played huge in the decision. Also Mom wanted him in Columbia. Hiring Carey Rich was the best hire Parris Could have made.

Couldn't agree more. Not only is he a former player, that played for a good coach, and loves his alma mater. But he's so plugged into the local basketball scene which will make the biggest difference.

Watching all of the elite talent in the state go play somewhere else is the most frustrating thing about our program.

When typically is basketball recruiting season? I want to keep up a little with what Paris is doing. Hopefully he can land some guys worth a damn (like GG)

Paris landed Pelfrey/Feldhaus/Farmer all in one - Calipari snubbed a mountain boy that can shoot - and he'll regret it -

Grady Wallace approves -

QB- We got a stud, kid has a cannon and can toss on a dike...however dunno if he sticks with sellers as qb1 for 2 or 3 if his years....and I dunno if he wins it his sr year....what I can say is he is stupid smart, he can read a defense fast and audible, that's cause his dad...this kid is shaw 2.0 without the wheels.

Back to basketball....

Gamecocks play ND tonight at 7pm. Hopefully we can pack the place out tonight and show Lamont some good support.

Gamecocks win vs ND 65-53.

Really should have won that one by more. We played fantastic defense, and got ourselves a lot of good looks that for a majority of the game didnt fall.
