It sounds like this class is about done for 2014. Now need Stanley and a WR to jump on, and let's get the heck out of here!
Still, what, six months til signing day, too?
I'm still holding out hope for Scott at RB, though. And Baldwin to get at least a Grey Shirt, if not a scholly.

That's a big pickup, right on. I'm glad we got the commit before Bama could get even more involved, they are a recruiting machine.

2014 DE Dante Sawyer tweeted 'deke adams' today, FWIW.
Ha, I mean that can't be a bad thing.

I am not the best at reading ambiguous twitter mentions from recruits. "deke adams" could read to me like either, "Deke Adams is the man," or "Deke Adams, you lied to me," just as easily.
Deke getting Lamin here though is a huge get. He's turning into a hell of a recruiter and he hasn't even been here 6 months.

The man knows what he's doing.

It may have even been a response to a question I think since BAW has been blowing up his twitter for us. Regardless, I think it's harmless.
Have you noticed how it's just me and you all day every day? Where the frick is everyone else.

If it's just you and I and you have less than 200 posts and I'm approaching 4000, I need to reassess what I'm doing. Maybe I need to post less. just kidding.
I don't know if we ever will compete (or even if we want to) with the volume of posters from cockytalk. I'm not really thinking about that, I like this medium and the other for different reasons and it's all good. I post on both sites like you as well.

I hear ya. Just looking for group discussion ha, should be able to have that at least.

agreed, I think it will come if it's supposed to happen. Probably like a lot of the other sites, there will be more activity during the football season. I just sent you a message on cockytalk.

I imagine he was trying to search for deke Adams on twitter if his tweet only said "deke Adams"
Posted on 7/29/13 at 5:51 pm to Cockopotamus
this is also a good possibility.

Could be he was wanting to tell Deke, "let me on this train!!".....

After Friday's Black Magic Camp, I think I was a little bewildered and wondering why we didn't get more excitement/recruiting activity. Then in following 3 days it's been nothing short of a show, and we're making big moves.
I like how are coaches don't try to rush recruits to do on the spot emotional decisions on commitments, but they tell them to go home, talk to their family, see what's best for them and then decide.
It's always great to get those guys committed so early in the process who have seen what's out there, weighed the options and then make the educated choice to be Gamecocks. I think this is a good example why clemtech's recruiting classes seem to fall apart every year, and ours build.
It's good to be reminded every once in a while to trust the visor and his coaches, they know what they're doing.

Poona Ford is set to announce Aug 6th, analysts are picking SC, I have no idea if he's a take though.

Only way I could see that happening is if they told all the remaining guys (Ford, Sawyer and Wideman) first one in gets that last spot. I don't think that would make a lot of sense, though.
I would think Sawyer, and to a lesser extent Wideman, would be more enticing pickups due to already having two DTs on the board already. But, who knows?

Could be that we'd take both ford and sawyer since one is a DT and the other a DE. Ford could be taking Widemans spot since he's projected to grow into a DT and committed to FSU

Lamin told Chris Clark that he's not taking any more official visits.

Poona is going to Louisville. Good for him. I do feel a little bad for him, I think his coach was close2poona on the vols site and f*'d up his recruiting.
