Who's going to be our friday starter? I'm thinking Kendall Graveman but it sounds like Lindgren and Woodruff have done well in the offseason

We'll give y'all Bobby Wahl's jock strap if you really need it.

No. Graveman will be the Saturday guy again. He's the change of pace sinkerballer, and you try to always throw those in between the Friday and Sunday flamethrowers.
Friday night is Evan Mitchell's to lose. He has EVERY BIT as good of stuff as Stratton had(with a similar career path), we will just have to wait and see if he matured mentally going into his JR year like Stratton did. Look for Will Cox, Trevor Fitts, and Brandon Woodruff to also compete for this role -- and for it to not be clearly defined until conference play. We could end up seeing one of those on Sunday as well. I look for Lindgren to be the Sunday guy at this point.
Ideally, you go with flamethrower righty on Friday, sinkerballer righty on Saturday, and hard-throwing but crafty lefty on Sunday.
We've got 19 pitchers throwing in the 90s right now(Graveman is the only one that doesn't) -- including the 3 position players that have been kept in pitching shape with routine bullpens(CT, Renfroe, and Norris). I've heard that Renfroe is consistently at 97-98 in bullpens and well over 100 from the outfield now. Barring collapse(and assuming his logical continued improvement), he's going to be the highest drafted MSU position player Clark and Palmeiro...
People laugh -- but we still had 4-5 pitchers ready to go that we could have used in the SEC tournament after playing 6 in 6 days. Marathon series are going to work in our favor BIGTIME with our pitching depth and talent. Unfortunately, the SEC tourney is really the only time this comes into play...

We have around ten Aces. And this should be on the MSU board.

State has more pitching depth than anyone in the league. The are 5 or 6 guys who could start on the weekend.

I think Ole Miss has come to terms with Cohen passing Bianco by now.

Something like 11 out of 12 series dating back to Bianco's previous job ought to show a pretty damn clear indication...

exactly
Woodruff has a tender elbow though- that sux because he could easily be the Friday guy.
We will be 1st or 2nd in the SEC in pitching- the key for us is an improved offense

I think we will be a lot better offensively this year than last year. The main difference if guys aren't getting it done we have plenty of guys on the bench who want a shot and can get it done

I definitely agree. We had alot of 1st year starters last season. A line-up full of them. Experience is huge and will make us alot better at the plate. We've also added some speed. We can platoon at DH.
Should easily be better on offense to help ease some pressure on the mound.

One of our main problems last year was scoring enough to win and help out pitchers. Not every pitcher can keep SEC teams under 3 runs every time out like stratton

I think the amount of bunting hurt us at times. We never got the chance for a huge inning because if the first guy got on, next guy was automatic first out. I liked our small ball usually but we are gonna have to cut it down some this year.

Lindgren is the guy for Friday. Looks like I had it backwards. Lindgren on Friday, Graveman Saturday, right handed flame thrower on Sunday.
